@Eucep I got him to stand with them straight, but that looks too spindly. the leg joint has an upper swivel but it is rendered useless by the little rubber hoses attache to them. I think I'll just put him back in car mode. XD
one of the few movies toys I own, albiet I have the first version of the movie sideswipe, he is not a horrible toy, he is not really much of a fun figure but he does look good, but as you say, he doesnt feel at all like "sideswipe"
a nice look at a character progression, the other versions in the more traditional red look great together.
@damnyouhussies and I think the red on this one is a nice tie-in. he's not exceptionally great. but he looks good on my shelf. especially in car mode.

hit the cc, it should say english , and then hit 1911, and it turns your vid old style, but kinda messes up the closed captioning ( well, the dialogue box)...if you just put the closed captioning alon on, it kinda madlibs the captions
@smsno1 not sure why they didn't paint him. it's atrocious.... hope they do better with the Mercedes and the Ferrari. who are the toys I am excited to see!

@mitchsantona glad I passed on the HA then Ia have almost bought one several times. and I bet the car mode would look nice on my alternators shelf. but I have heard terrible things.
I bought this guy when I realized he wasn't just a repaint of the other movie Sideswipe mold. He's...okay. The plastic to me feels a bit flimsy overall and I had that same issue with the head.
The other 3 figures you showed off are all part of my collection and are all really good (given the time period when they were developed - especially for the G1 Sideswipe).
Im with you on movie Sideswipe not feeling like Sideswipe. I do like the figure you showed, but I dont dig the flamy look...I'd rather it woulda been all red ( like a Sidswipe should be), or all silver, as he was in the movie, but I like the guns over theswords...and 98% of the DOTM toys look like unfinished prototype crap ( Im with you on that sidswipe)....anyway, good review, and glad you brought out the other 3 Sideswipes ( G1 is still my fave of the Swipes)

I know it's way too late, but the model for movie Sideswipe would've made a LOT more sense as Tracks. Corvette and vain, it makes sense.
