Sega didn't research good enough. It wasn't King Shahr'yr that created the 1001 Nights, It was the woman he was going to kill. She had to keep the King occupied and happy for damn near 3 and a half years or else she's as good as worms meat. They should've tied that in there! Amy would've been that woman, being held captive by Eggman and the key to beating Erazor; which would've been cool.
