I think Ace not being in Kiss anymore is great. It just goes to show who's truly responsible for kiss' heavy sound. Everything Gene & Paul wrote seemed like nothing but basic rock & roll 4/4 time bland tasteless rock songs (some of them rule don't get me wrong) but for the most part, it's all about Ace, listen to the 4 solo albums...I'm pretty sure that says enough in itself. Screw the new Kiss album..I want my copy of Anomaly instead!! Ace is the reason I shred the way I do on guitar today ;)

Thayer was his body double on the farewell tour, and switched in the middle of shows when Ace was too drunk to play. Nobody noticed the change. His battle with booze is well known, but now that he hasn’t had a drink in 6+ years, him getting back for another tour is a possibility. As for Peter, NO WAY. Bad attitude. Even Ace was sick of dealing with it. Eric is a much better drummer.
