Read the story of Abraham in the bible when he went against God's will and took his wife Sara's servent Hagar for a second wife. it is an eye opener, and that was only 2 wives. read about Jacob and how he was tricked into marrying Leaha befor Rachel the one he loved, and all the consaquences from that mess. and believe me the consequences were far reaching. If you want to know about poligamy just read these and other stories about people in the old testement of the bible.This was not God's will.
God never ment for people to degrade themselves like this, these people don't have any idea how immoral this live style is. no one can convince me that these situations can be desent no matter what culture people live in, they are unhappy situations, rife with hatred between wives, children felling unhappy because dad favors the child of one wife over another, there is abuse and discord in these families, there is never a completely happy polygamus situation. for man or woman. not God's will.
These young people need to understand that God has a plan for the ideal family one man and one woman together so they can raise children in a house hold that is secure and reasonably free of strife if they are committed to Jesus and share that faith in common, This was the way it was ment to be, but most people don't live by His word and even in regular western households there are problems because people aren't following God's mapped out plan for the human race,otherwise it wouldn't be a mess.

I believe in polyandry, I love women, and want them to be happy, but I do not think monogyny is good, so why shouldn't men have the same right? I only accept polygamy, I don't like polygyny or polyandry, but I guess polyandry is a lot better than polygyny, at least, maybe even better than monogamy :D

Polygyny means "plural wives", and polyandry means "plural husbands", so a perfectly gender neutral polyamous marriage of two wives and two husbands would technically be both polygyny and polyandry, and an all lesbian marriage of three wives would be polygyny, but traditionally "polygyny" refers to one man being married to several wives, the wives not being married to...

@SBGull88 why would you do that? is the 1st one not good enough or something? if he's not good enough, divorce him. do you think it's ok to string him along & keep him as yours? you can't just collect men you know - it's immoral.

@Petfal well i guess if it goes both ways, it's not really an issue. but personally i would find it hard to give myself to someone completely & be the best wife i could if i had do do so with 2 or 3 (or more) men.

feminists would probably have a heart attack if they heard my view about marriage but i think that if my marriage is happy & the person im married to is happy in the marriage, ill be happy - & nothing else really matters - so i plan on giving myself 100% to my husband & making him as happy as i can.
that & generally if kids see that their parents love each other, it gives them stability & a positive outlook
I believe in Polyandry, very much BUT ONLY amongst CONSENTING and WILLING ADULTS. For LOVE, like, affection of the other(s) involved NOT for tradition, culture, and religion or faith fundamentalism.
