  • how do you guys handle those mean hunger-hardened wolves up there ??

  • I have a dumb question too. Would Bob and Lynn Harlan ever be able to join Scot and Taffy Harlan, as their guests, for a few days at a warm beach like place? If so let them know when would be a good time- we here they have fun!

  • Do you raise your sheep for meat or just wool

  • @rakerman102 -We raise our sheep for both....We cross the white ewe with a "blackface" suffolk ram, this is a meat breed and a terminal cross (lambs are not kept for replacement ewes because of black fibers in the wool). We put whiteface rams on our other ewes and keep replacement ewe lambs out of them, but the boy lambs will be sold for meat as well. We try to keep the wool "saleable" with breeding (not a too coarse wool breed). So hope that answers your question. Eat lamb & wear wool!

  • This may be a dumb question, but can/do you feed your herd dogs, or guard dogs, lamb bones/meat?

  • @marchetta67 I made this video for a contest- my effort was pretty amatuerish but I had fun. We have self- feeders out for our guard dogs and refill them twice a week. They eat "duralife" dog food. They also love scraps and esp. KFC chicken bones. They might come across a dead lamb, but they do not kill them for food. Thanks for watching. And no questions about agriculture are dumb!

  • Enjoyed the video!! Thanks for posting.
