Dog Soldiers rocked. There is something about costume, makeup and prosthetics versus CGI werewolves. I mean the CGI is cool looking but when it is an actual person in makeup and prosthetics , it is more scary because you actually feel as if they can come out of the tv screen and get you.

American Werewolf in London was one of the best transformations, but the Howling was the scariest. Those eyes, that wide crocked smile, creeeeepie.

We gotta give respect to the guys who painstakingly do the non-cgi transformations. They have to do it bit by bit and make the models and plastics, or whatever they use. CGI users are good when they do it right but most of the time they do a rubbish job, make it look too cartoony, or make it happen so fast they might as well say :Poof: theres ur werewolf. Its like they're lazy. I would like to see a decent cgi Werewolf for once at a good length, maybe as long as American werewolf in London :P

DOG SOLDIERS and Ginger Snaps are two new GOOD Werewolf movies that spring to mind. Dog soldiers didnt use any transformation effects at all though, they simply fell behind a table and came up a giant werewolf but they looked really good.

Ginger Snaps introduced the concept that the transformation lasts for 30 days (one month) and is a permanent transformation into Beast, and you will never be human after.
