I've beaten every mustang i have raced, its a shame there are drivers out there that dont know how to drive an 8, if i'd ever loose to a stang ill be embarrased....plus rx8's are meant for curves...take an 8 on a track and itll leave rotary dust all over those 5.0's lmao...and to say that Rx8's are slow, you must live under a rock or have never experienced driving a Renesis....smh

if you knew anything you'd know that first off the rotary motor in the rx-8 is actually an rather good motor for what it actually is. secondly the damn thing is a 30,000$ car base. probably like 27,000$ to be a little more accurate. my car cost me 3,000 with about 167,000 miles on it and it's nearly stock too racing a (at the time) brand new rx-8 that had like 10000 miles on it....and you say we sound retarded....
alright dude that is pretty obvious. i'm sure you knew that i was talkin about rx8 and new cars priced around it. i wasn't even thinkin about this race. and i don't see what there is to even talk about in this race. i wouldn't expect anything different. i mean a fast car is a fast car, duh it doesn't matter when the hell it was made

I love 5.0s and I owned one before I bought my rx8. The 5.0 is faster in a straight line obviously (300lbs torque).I could have bought a much faster car than the rx8 for the money I spent, but that's not the point. Anybody who disses the rx8 doesn't understand it or hasn't driven one. The car can be driven very fast on winding roads, it inspires confidence in the driver to push it to the limits. Its a refined driving experience that is hard to describe unless you experience it for yourself.

there is pleanty of room in that engine. eclipse with a 3.8=268 hp. 3.7z =332. even an accord and camry with a 3.5 get over 260. Ford just doesnt want to let it breathe. they keep you coming for more. mach1 5 years ago with a twin cam 4.6 now doesnt seem so great when a reg gt now gets about the same ponies with a single cammer. I took down a 2004 gt but mainly cause he was sleeping at the line. Its more about driving than just hp to a degree.

no he had a manuel as well. was a fair match between the two of us. I took em off the line and got a strong lead held it to 110 and let off :)
