for the 6000 model is overpriced over performance....the 8000 model is actually 2 grand more now way back when i got mine for $3000 a pair. Reason being it's a museum piece!....
DAS, meine Lieben, ist ECHTES BANG & OLUFSEN of Denmark! Unübertroffende Optik trifft auf allerhöchste Verarbeitungsqualität. Der Klang ist abgesehen von fehlendem Tiefbass (5,3Liter Gehäusevolumen bei der 8000er, noch etwas geringer bei der 6000er) sehr gut. Seit 1995 besitze ich ein Paar 8000er- Trotz zahlreicher Patrys bei voller Lautstärke versehen beide noch täglich brav ihren Dienst. B&O - Lautsprecher sind in jedem Fall besser als ihr Ruf! Und sie halten ewig!
well... but what about the looks? These are the most beautiful speakers ever built and an enrichment to styled-up interior design. So others may be better in other ways, but you'll never get that visual beauty ...

If you put these speakers against Paradigm's Reference Studio 60s, less than half the price, the B&Os would be blown away.
And, if you integrated JL Audio's 12 in. Fathom subwoofer; the best sub ever reviewed and is said to cost more than subs 10x its price (which is ironically $2800, the same as the Beolab 2 sub), then you'd really blow these things away.
But of course, the Paradigms don't carry the B&O's looks and "name".

its like a muscle car. Full of power. some as powerful as a ferrari.
but the experience in a ferrari is totally in a different league.
you pay for an experience withb&o. think designer electronics.
