I cant find the iso file all i have is .disk, pool, casper, preseed, autorun, md5sum, readme.diskdefines, ubuntu, wubi, dists, install, isolinux, pics
Ive got an Acer Aspire one, it doesent have a disk reader, so i cant burn i to a CD, i thought of using Daemon tool, and just install linux via a usb, but i cant find the iso. file where is it?
Your question seems a little vague to me, I'll try to answer it the best I can.
Ubuntu is a Linux distribution. Therefore, Ubuntu IS Linux. You can't run Ubuntu on top of Windows or Mac OS X. Well, at least without using virtual machine software like VMWare, VirtualBox, or Parallels.
Also, there is no special "Linux" computer like there is with Mac OS X. Linux (and thus Ubuntu) can run on any computer, even a Mac.
this looks imense. i have seen alot of videos but is there actually an risks of downloading it if u have a fully operation laptop such as a samsung with 2g ram and core 2 duo prossesor?
Yes! All updates and upgrades to Ubuntu are free. In fact, when the new version of Ubuntu (as of this writing 8.10) come out, you will be able to upgrade completely for free.

Hello, Loki8901! Yes, flash AND java do work on Linux. If you use the Ubuntu distribution of Linux, make sure you install "Ubuntu Restricted Extras."
