Can anyone familiar with both tell me what's the ACTUAL tonal difference between this flame maple top (could be not flame as well) and the mainstream ACS cedar top one? I suppose cedar will sound mellower than maple since maple is very dense ans as such it will sound punchy and blunt, good for dynamic response but not so good for overtone-rich sound. With maple top this guitar is probably good for cutting through the band but for mellow solo pieces cedar would do better.
Hi ! I've been interested by this video cause I got a Godin Multiac duet, and with this video, I can see that it's not exactly the same guitar. You got a RMC preamp. 5that sounds really well, when I got a L.R.Baggs preamp. the difference is that I don't have a midi connection, but two ways, a piezo + an electret mic(condensator), with Jack + XLR to plug my guitar. Now, I've read that all the new Godins have a Fishman preamp, and they sound well to. BYE !
That's sounds every bit as good or better to me than the more expensive Grand and Duet models with the mic modeling. I ordered one of these Limited Editions last night. Musicians Friend has them on sale for only $799. Actually I got my local Guitar Center to match the price and ordered through them.
It's good enough if you are playing with a band. But if you have gigs by yourself only and ig the venue is extremely acoustic, then Roland is a winner.

very nice. I just bought a used Godin and can't wait to try it. If I can play it or it sounds only half as good as you, I'm set.
Warm regards
