I live in Houston and got the worst of the storm. They are not sure if it was a strong 2 or a weak 3. The gusts at my house reached up to 127 MPH. The funny thing is, Ike and the 1900 storm all had the same exact paths they took.

Katrina was only a category 3 when it made landfall, it was so destructive because New orleans was below sea level. Houston is the nations 4th biggest city, an earthquake in LA or hurricane in NYC(ven a tropical storm) would get a lot of attention.
