I actually love this band. :) There lyrics are great... They aren't just like, an average band from Ireland, they have a weird mix of different jkinds of music too. :) I went and seen them at Prospect Park in Brooklyn, and they were great live. most bands are so auto-tuned, but these guys are just as great live as on the CD. :)
Saw them recently at IrishFest in Milwaukee (a great festival, by the way), and they were fabulous. Love them! They are all exceptionally talented, but their violinist blew me away.

I just saw this band at the Dublin Irish Festival (Dublin, Ohio! - largest Irish Festival in the USA!) What a fantastic band with great and meaningful songs. Their pedigree is perfect. Bought their CD and it is great!
I also went to the Mc Peake School, they were the best years of my life , going for trips down to Cavan, playing music sitting around together really did feel like part of the family, and to Francis the 3rd you were the best, craic was 90, good to see you all doing so well, will never forget playing every sat night with you all :)
I saw the McPeake Family at Cecil Sharpe House in London in the mid seventies and they were amazing. I also treasure the memory of an album I used to own with "The Constitutional Movement" on it, a vocal piece with Kathleen's awesome and ethereal harmony vocals.
I can remember I had a video recorded from the TV of francis the 3rd and his gigantic orcestra playing I believe in the Ulster Hall in the 1980's, it was absolutly spectacular, my sister lent the tape out to one her her ex's and I never got it back, but if anyone has it, I would love it posted! My brother learned bodhran from the mcpeakes back then and my sis was in the audience that night at the Ulster Hall.

i get taught by francis mcpeake III and there is no words that can describe him apart from that he is one of the best teachers out i owe him everything
