They, and 140 other dog breeds/types (akitas dogo argentinos, sharpies, even boston terriers) were bred to FIGHT OTHER DOGS, and also used for "blood sports". They were never used to kill humans, in fact the owners of these fighting dogs would stick their hands in the cage, between their dogs fighting, and they were known for not biting their owners. Anyways, what i as gonna say was 80% environment 20% breed, says my vet.

So this is what I found out about these pics: This story takes place a few days after Hurricane Katrina. These two pits are lost, and pretty much starving. Seeing no other alternative, the two attack a bull along the road, thinking that they could kill it for a meal. Despite being tossed around, they keep attacking. The animals were to feral at this point for any civilians to do anything, so a soldier who happened to be near-by shot and killed both dogs.

So this is what I found out about these pics: This story takes place a few days after Hurricane Katrina. These two pits are lost, and pretty much starving. Seeing no other alternative, the two attack a bull along the road, thinking that they could kill it for a meal. Despite being tossed around, they keep attacking. The animals were to feral at this point for any civilians to do anything, so a soldier who happened to be near-by shot and killed both dogs.

Bull is the word, I have been raised around bulls my whole life and i'm 69 years old now,so i should know. I got attacked by a pitbull once and had to get a fake arm because the pitbull played tug-a-war with my arm and another pitbull. @jatkins47 um first off they were ordered to round up any loose animals and protect any civi's and also the dogs were loose pets the cow was livestock. so they were both 'escaped' animals. also my cousin served with some of them and each group had a animal specialist with them with a tranquilizer cause some people in the area kept 'exotic' animals like tigers and shit. so they could have just tranquilized the dogs

@sovietarchangel the kind they were carrying were of various amounts, since what would work for a tiger wouldn't work for say a bobcat (since they are roughly the size of a Savannah-which is a domestic cat btw) and the dosage for a bobcat WOULD have worked for a dog especially a dog such as a pit bull since they have a fairly high metabolic rate
