Yes the switch is all the way up, but you have a well-tuned “Stratocaster ear”.

Shortly after I got my Stratocaster (early 70s) I re-wired it, so that setting has all 3 pickups active.

Maybe I should go back to the original wiring.

Well, I'm not a pro guitarist, and I can't play it perfectly either (grr), but I can say that you're quite good! I recommend you to look after "lick library" tuition videos, Danny Gill has a really good video, which teaches you how to play Hendrix properly!

Dude your not way off, Just a little choppy on

your rhythm..There are a lot of parts where you would use your thumb on the low E String...If you learned this by ear its pretty good..Check out a decent tab in a Hendrix book at a music store..I'm

sure you could learn it on the spot and walk out without having to buy the book...unless you can find it online without having to fillout a bunch of shit that never works...

People that seem to lack the ability to take a moment and read the video description piss me off. His tabs are way off? What tabs? Oh, you mean the ones he didnt use? Ass hole, not everyone can exactly match Hendrix. Plus he was overrated so there's no need to bitch about a guitarist that wasn't even THAT great. Maybe if you read the description, you'd know that he hasn't played for over 30 years and only picked up the guitar again a few months previous to this.

I learned this on acoustic. Big thick strings. Got an electric again and slapped the thickest I could get on her. Nice. Playing acoustic for years - often no pick - gave me better feel.

i see that you have a problem at the 22 mark.the chords are G9 to A9 back to G9 then F9 which would be the the bottom 4 strings with your ring finger at the 5th fret 4th string,middle finger 4th fret 3rd string,index finger at 3rd fret 2nd string and pinky at the 5th fret 1st string(G9).now slide that chord in the sequence you know and you'll see the big difference.other than that well done.

Assuming that "not right" means not a note by note Jimi Hendrix copy, then by that standard 90% on YouTube do it wrong (including SRV and Monte Montgomery). If tone and phrasing are included in the criteria, then only Jimi does it "right".

In any case, read my initial comment to the right of the video and don't worry, I have a number of things, I am working hard on ... guitar songs included.
