Personally I don't like the idea of singers at the Cup Final, I think the National Anthem and Abide With Me sounds better when 90,000 fans sing them together, I just think the singers go really OTT with the vocals, I know that's what works in opera etc but this is football.

Oh my.. normally I really like Sarah's voice, but in this video she sounds so tired and shaky.. the performance itself didn't look professional either.. the words of this song are so easy, why did she need the sheet music?

Sarah began singing wrong, too low, but she over powered Lesley at the end. Also take in count that Lesley is not fat, but she is very thick, while Sarah has the waist of a woman of 20 years.

@cantelini The singing of Henry Lyte's famous hymn "Abide With Me" has been part of FA Cup Final tradition since 1927. That year's Final between Arsenal and Cardiff City was only the fifth at what was then the "new" Wembley Stadium. King George V and Queen Mary attended in those days and "Abide With Me" was known to be one of their favourite hymns. FA secretary Sir Frederick Wall arranged for it to be included on the songsheet. Sarah's voice has deteriorated to such a point that she can't even compare to Lesley. The levels of technique applied here are vastly differently, and all you have to do is listen to hear which one is stronger. :) It's such a shame this is a discordant performance.
