Pure Capitalism, by definition, requires no government intervention in business, therefore corporations are not regulated. Socialism, by definition (is democratic and...), redistrubutes money more equally/regulates business. It allows people to form unions so that in essence, you don't have to bow down to corporations OR the government (last time i checked, non-trivial governments don't have the power to detain and kill their people).

Pure Capitalism, by definition, requires no government intervention in business, therefore corporations are not regulated. Socialism, by definition (is democratic and...), redistrubutes money more equally/regulates business. It allows people to form unions so that in essence, you don't have to bow down to corporations OR the government (last time i checked, non-trivial governments don't have the power to detain and kill their people).

I couldn't agree more. I think Obama realized on Nov.3rd-- when he gave a speech and looked depressed as hell-- that this country is so fucked up. I think that part of the problem is that we have too many people in office-- The white house as a whole. I think it is about time that we shed those fuckers jobs and give them a little slice of our life that they helped ruin.
I mean really, is it necessary that we have that many people?

@therockstar17 it doesnt mean that if by any chance your founders were at the start of a new republic, that they were exactly the smartest men. they just were the men in charge, nothing more. besides, you only talk about rights and not about responsibilities. You say that you govern the government. well good, but that also means you got to share its repsonsibilities. and that means also helping to take care of ALL of its citizens.

It's not the responsibility of our government to hold our hands, be our parents, and "take care of" everyone. People need to learn how to take care of themselves. Healthcare should be left to the private sector unless the government can offer affordable care in addition to and OPTIONALLY if you want it.

There was once a pilgrim village who centralized their food to ration it to get through winter. When the people who grew the food realized it was going to people who didn't work, they too stopped working because they asked "what's the point" and they almost all starved. also including that in your right to vote, you also get the right to vote (as more then 50% of your ppl did) for something you might find unconstitutional by now. If the government is ruled by the people, then so is the constitution. And if its a clear factor that the right to have health care should be embedded in there, then the constitution need change.

@lleuwelynn I'm sorry your point made no sense here. That's like saying you have the right to eat so the government has the responsibility to MAKE you eat. That's also like saying you need to amend the constitution for something like food. It just doesn't make sense. We don't need to put that in there, we already have healthcare. The healthcare bill violates the 10th amendment by forcing the states to enforce a federal mandate and REQUIRES people to buy something.

Your current health care isnt accessable for all, that is the biggest problem. not really. A lot of the people that get welfare are lazy. and how many of them are poor because they use money for drugs. I'm sorry, but Im not being selfish. Its not my responsibility to make sure other people get MY MONEY because they happen to be unfortunate for whatever reason. If I was struggling, I dont expect strangers to just give me their money that they WORKED for because I'm going through hard times. and its not the government's responsibility either. Its charity groups and churches'

I don't expect a stranger citizen to hold the responsibility of making sure a percentage of his income automatically be given to me because I have trouble making enough. If he does that, then we're both going to be poor. He should only give me money or help if he has extra and if he wants to.

2) Switzerland: 24 October 1648

The key difference is that the San Marino and Switzerland president or prime minister is chosen by the parliament. In America, the people elect the president by voting, and you don't have to be a member of parliament to run for president.

so in the states ppl dont elect a president out of candidats that were pushed forward from their representative political parties? you really dont think that the ppl in switzerland and san marino dont have a direct vote on the presidentship? besides, how many ppl in your country do really vote? While it promised prosperity, equality, and security, it delivered poverty, misery, and tyranny. Equality was achieved only in the sense that everyone was equal in his or her misery. Socialism fails.
