@NeroHero07 Well, it was a fact that particular day because they beat France at penalty kicks. In WC 1998 France was better (penalty kicks too). And in Euro 2000 too, since they beat them. In 2006 Italy was better, and deserved to get the trophy. For now, both teams are quite pityful, but who knows, in a near future? Maybe Italy, maybe France. That's what I Iike about sports in general, and football especially.

Italy is the only team actually that beat Germany in Dortumund. Except this match Germany never lost a match in Dortmund. I just want to see what France can make against Germany in Dortmund because France never beat Germany in world cup. Of course for France all was easier, they played vs Portugal in semifinal, a team who played just 2 semfinals in its history and nothing other.

lets see...first of all matterazzi didnt touch the french player and france didnot deserve a penalty shot....secondly matterazzi scored a beautiful goal to tie it up...thirdly the Toni goal was not offside....italy won and thats all there was too it...I am Italian an I admit....italy was probably not the best team at the tournamnet...but they played hard and won...simple as that!!!!!

Penalties are like that, France played maybe better but didn't score so it's not importan to play "better", to win you need to score. Italy scored a second regular goal with Toni but the ref dissalowed the goal.The score was 2-1 for Italy. In 1998 France won against Italy with penalties, Italy can pass in semifinal...just unlucky because Di Biagio missed his penalty.
It's easy if you want win, you must score penalties and France didn't score so Italy won.
