White kids are usually represented by good lawyers who can get them off of anything. When you lock up plenty of young black kids, 10 years later they come out of prison as hard and cruel and more likely to commit violent crimes.

Fortunately, this brother lived. Unfortunately, many don't. I used to get stopped by the LA cops every weekend when I came home from Orange County CA. Oscar Grant, Oakland Ca - killed on New Years Day after being shot in the back while pinned down (and possibly handcuffed) by another cop. Grant was unarmed.
Adolf Grimes, New Orleans La - killed on New Years eve after being shot 12 times in the back (14 total). Grimes was armed with a legal, registered gun.
Robbie Tolan, Dallas Tx - shot 3 times on New Years Eve after cops wrongfully accused him of stealing his own vehicle in front of his parents home on Dec 31. Tolan was unarmed.
