@blackopsmontage1000 no unfortunately, there is no pause button. You have to press the record button, and that stops the recording, and when you press the record button again, it starts recording on a new file.
@pablosanroman0 yes, blurring is easy, since you have full manual control on the focus, and with spot meter/focus, you can do it pretty fast, just by tapping on a distant object, making a closer one blur, and vice versa
@smoofssmoofs afaik, sony puts a '5' for all its European models instead of a '0' for the North American models...so a cx115 and cx110 are the same specs but different markets
the spot is called an artifact. point any camera towards the sun and you will get that. also, the spot meter/fcs function is really usefull. in your shot if you were to touch the touch screen on the dark trees - it will adjust and give you that washed out white effect. but if you were to touch the bright sky it will adjust the contrast to show more detail. think of it as a white balance.
The picture in the video does not look tha sharp, other test footage I have seen from tis camera have been super sharp, this video does not seem to have that look to it??
@burgavo1 yes, so far its been great except for one annoying thing which I am trying to figure out. Using a 8GB SD card, and quality settings at HD LP (5M), it does not seem to record to any more than approximately 5.5 GB of the card, before giving a warning that the card can no longer be used to record HD. I am going to test it out with my 16GB card soon to maybe figure something out...
Nice video. The lens flare you see in the beginning is because of the way in which the incoming light is focussed reflected. Try zooming in just a very tiny-bit, and that focussed flare spot should vanish.
@neelaakaasham Thanks! Appreciate the info, I will keep that in mind for the future. Having never had that kind of flare before, initially I was worried it was a defect on the lens. Thanks for your support!
can it paus

Any way you can get wind noise reduction on this camcorder?
pakmane17 7 months ago
@pakmane17 I would add a small piece of soft sponge, or soft fur onto the mic area, if wind noise was a big issue
