@ptica4444 Your army has to be stationary for a turn (on the campaign map a circle of wooden stakes will appear around your army). If said army is attacked you'll get the option to entrench your units (in the deployment phase). Some units can also place stakes (like the prussian jaegers) during combat.

I would like to see a ww2 TW game too. But ww2 was a different fighting style than the Rome or Empire time period. It was less about isolated battles and more ongoing skirmishes on the entire front. Also it was less about fighting and one side wins, and more about maneuvering, and you'd pull back before you have any heavy losses. And then we all know what happened so well in ww2, so there would be less freedom in your decisions. I just don't think it would not "fit" the TW mechanics.
