Smoothing isnt an anim thing, its a brush thing, if you have smoothing really high, when you draw a line it will make the ends really round, when you have it really low, it will look like it would on paper.

well, F6 adds a new keyframe, F7 adds a new blank keyframe. ctrl Z undos the last action. hope that helps.
