There are good lyrics, but most metal is about melody and rhythm (funny word "rhythm" teehee no vogals) And it depends how you see that. In Cannibal Corpse's lyrics they do "horror" lyrics, they are not meant to be taken seriously. And listen to "Make them suffer" That's the worse tr00 metal can get in lyrics. "Die Motherfucker Die" is poser, and should not be taken as metal, for example.

Because most times the yrics do not matter, otherwise I would not listen to Folk metal wich in most time is in the native language. Lyrics almost never are important. And i'm answering because i have no life. Art is not supposed to be meaningfull, but to represent artist's feelings. Rap really isn't music to me. Not because it's bad, but because it's just poetry. No melodies enough, just a beat.
