I'm going to be honest, I was a little bit dissapointed with this review. Don't get me wrong. I still thought this was a good episode, but I didn't like how he rymed throughout the entire review. It got a little tedious. Also, the Angry Video Game Nerd did a parody of the Grinch last December by also ryming. Also, as a person who saw this movie, he didn't even point out some of the many plot holes I had with this film.

The Grinch was a good movie giving a reason to why he hated Christmas. Yeah some of it was over the top or bland but I find it more relatable. Our world has become a lot like the whos who are materialistic and human instead of paragons of holiday cheer. The Grinch the dark hero instead of pure evil. The whos learn something instead of knowing it from the start so in a way it's more inspiring that everyone learned the importance of not being materialistic and that to me is what Dr.Suess wanted.

I thought this review was nitpicking a bit - especially the part where Doug talks about Jim Carrey's mugging for the camera when Doug does that a lot himself. Plus, Jim was basically playing a cartoon character so I think it kind of called for the mugging. But I did like this review even though I love this movie. The rhyming was very impressive and I agreed about the little girl's singing.

I guess you just have to be a fan of Jim Carey like I am and not be so emotionally attached to the cartoon, because I rather enjoyed it. Is it a Christmas classic? Does it really live up side-by-side to the original? No and no. But I thought for the way they expanded the story, they did a nice job.

1.it's a good remake (espacially considering Jean De Bont's The Haunting)

This film is the sheer definition of a guilty pleasure for me. I'd be the first to admit that it's bad. The cinematography isn't always what it should be, and most of the sub-plots are pointless. But it still makes me laugh really hard. Jim Carrey can single-handedly carry a comedy better than any other actor (look at "Liar Liar"), and he does so in this film fantastically. The visual effects and the production design capture the Dr. Seuss look very well as well. It's flawed, and fun to watch.

I saw it in theaters when I was 7, and it kinda scared me. But after I reached my mid-teens, I got over my fear and saw the more funnier bits of the movie. It's been a guilty pleasure for me ever since. ^^;
