well the green body of water is the water from the dead sea, people like made a canal, and from time to time they open up the canal to let water into this lake,to get salt when it dries up, calcuim, and other elements too. the line through it are like walls, to make many rooms so they don't have to wait for the whole lake to dry up.

 There is hope though because according to the prophet Ezekiel the Messiah Yeshuah will send water from the temple mount to give life to the dead sea in the millennium - they will actually fish there!
