These bikes are great but how many remember E.J. "The Michigan Madman" Potter from 1968?? This guy raced a bike that consisted of a Triumph frame loaded with a transverse mounted 327" V-8 Chevy with Hilborne fuel injection on nitro, direct chain drive (no trans) ~ and it would burn down an Appolo bike slick in 3 runs. I saw E.J. run many times @ Lions & Irwindale ~ this man was beyond crazy. Actually saw him fall off the bike @ 1,000 feet, get up and make another run.
