As a four year veteran of the North Carolina Highway Patrol I actually have quite a bit of experiance with firearms. 00 buck is in no way harmful to any of my neighbors.....not everyone lives in a cookie-cutter development like yourself. 00 buck only has an effective range of about 175 yards, even if it does penetrate outside the is NO WAY it could penetrate another house, and yes I do care about my neighbors and I also hold a masters degree in Criminology from NC State University.
@lynch5552933 Correct, not EVERYONE lives in a suburb like myself. However, 80-90% of Americans do, and they should not be encouraged to load 00 buck until the end of the magazine. As a 5 year veteran of the U.S. Army, I can clearly assure you that 00 buck will exit and reenter multiple structures within a typical suburban environment. If you live in a sparse, rural area like yourself, no problem! Rack it, but there should be a thought process behind which load you are using.

You realize in NJ you only need to say you feared for your life. I'm not that experienced with HD, but i personally would not load 2 rounds of bean bag rounds. Someone could be on drugs and the beanbag rounds might not do a thing. If someone enters my house, one round of bird (which generally won't kill unless you're extremely close to your target) and then 00 buck after that, followed by slugs. I would personally not want to wait till I get to my 3rd round before I seriously do damage.

The justice system isn't going to just let you walk off after you shoot someone because you said you were defending yourself. Loading one of these and having your next round be the buck shot might not be a bad idea.

I've seen men hit with bean bags and rubber bullets fired both from a shotgun and a 40mm grenade launcher in prisons. If it was the usual yard fight, with two inmates having a dispute, it did the job. However, inmates who were intent on killing would usually shrug off the less than lethal rounds untill CRT showed up or the mini 14 had to be used. never use one of these for home defense. Chances are, if he's still in the house after hearing the shotgun chamber a shell, you'll need buckshot

I want to get some ALS rounds, I own a Mossberg 500. It's stated to only use 2 3/4" or 3" shells. All ALS rounds are 2.5". I read somewhere that because of the skeleton type lifter the mossberg 500 has you will encounter problems feeding 2.5" shells. If i cant feed it in time to stop a bad guy whats the point. have you or anybody fired 2.5"shells out of a mossy? i dont want to have to buy the rounds and find out for myself and throw away some cash.

Good vid. I am not a big fan of less than lethal ammo. I don't blame you for worrying about having to go through the legal process if you did kill somebody. I like how you did say that you need to have some buckshot ready to go, if the intruder does not go down with the bean bag. I have my 12 ga loaded w/ #4 buckshot backed up w/ a hollow point slug. It all depends on if you have to worry about it going through walls into another room or neighbors house.

i know they have some ammo that has a shock or taser on the end so when you hit someone it will tase and put them on their ass shot on at my brother put him down 4 15 mins

Good vid. I am not a big fan of less than lethal ammo. I don't blame you for worrying about having to go through the legal process if you did kill somebody. I like how you did say that you need to have some buckshot ready to go, if the intruder does not go down with the bean bag. I have my 12 ga loaded w/ #4 buckshot backed up w/ a hollow point slug. It all depends on if you have to worry about it going through walls into another room or neighbors house.

@wldennis1 ya I live in NJ so the gun laws are crazy. some one can break in your house and then take you to court and you pay them lol.... ill put up another video of my favorite (When Shit Go's Down) round there so sick I hope to get a video of the damage they do to for the video too... thanks for the post
