  • It might have very worn out piston rings and but low compression. But it is very easy to start. Sold this gen-set 2 years ago. (Was going to fix gen but divorce got in the way)

  • sorry for miss understanding i meant rpm my dad have one of these its 6hp too and its 1800 rpm but its on a water pump not generator ty for msg back :)

  • @diymania there's normally a blanking plate there when it was not factory fitted

  • I had a similar but I believe later one. The emblem on the top was the only difference, but this was 20 years ago so I may be wrong. Good to hear that sound again. It used to be used in many cement mixers of the time too.

    Did you not use the decompressor to start? had to every time when it was cold

  • I know it may seam unlikely, but it was a cold Feb morning. Video taken prior to selling the gen-set.
