My eyes sit 2 feet from a 20" monitor, the image looks too small to be immersed. Sitting closer than 2' is uncomfortable. If I sit at the proportionate distance and size of 10 feet from a 100" would it still look like 2' from a 20"? Is closer seating possible with a 100" screen or larger, without blocking the light? I am concerned that a projector image wont be any different in immersion or clarity than my monitor if I sit too far and be just as uncomfortable if I sit too close. Am I correct?

@Augnalius Well, yes and no. You're asking someone that never sits in the front row when he goes out to see a movie at the theater. If i sit too close, i'm afraid i'd turn cross eyed permanently or something, so i don't really do it.I sit about 10 feet away, but when i workout, i pull up my treadmill to about 4-5 feet away to watch while i'm running and it doesn't feel that weird. The pixel density is great, so it's not like looking at a stretched out image.Still very detailed. Hope that helped

@soulweaponry Thank you that helped very much. I wonder how do you get that close to the screen without blocking the light path at 4-5 feet? Are you able to position yourself to the middle of the screen while being that close?

@Augnalius the projector sits over my head, so the beam is shining downward a little bit. If I'm low enough, I can sit right in front, but if I need to get that close, I'll sit off to the side a little bit

@Augnalius As far as immersion, when people in movies and games are lifesize or even bigger than you, it's hard not to be immersed. Avatar on this thing is really jaw dropping. Can't wait for the 3d-bluray update

@0idris about the size of a laptop box. Amazon just put a shipping label on the original optoma box instead of doing some extra amazon boxinging, so it's really small. Congrats on the new proj-minaj!

@mifan93 hands down the best purchase I ever made. Not a single issue since I got it. And really, I still haven't gotten completely used to having a picture this big. Everytime I turn it on I always kind of sit back in awe like "damn, that's amazing". And considering the 3d that'll finally be able to work with my ps3 soon, its future proof
