  • Is too powerful,he can give back life to those who lost it!

  • @popielsabio

Eight for the price of one.

I'd say it's worth it compared to winning with those other useless seven warriors haha.

  • Love the music,Makes me think in victory, for example, when I reach my goals.I also like to play it on piano

  • ive beaten this with larcen a couple of times.his ending is when he goes back in time and quickly throws away the bomb and saves the cheif of police.after that,he becomes a member of a special task force that eliminates crimelords and mobsters for good.awesome 1920's character.

  • @Chepito2846

Cool. He's a Dick Tracy knockoff, he learnt the praying mantis kungfu technique from an old Chinese master and he is a triad member with a conscience.

  • Xavier travels back through time? What the, that's magic, burn him!

  • This game was awesome in 2 player mode. Me and my mate Deano had some great times on this game. The music in some of the stages really added to the anger you felt in losing, especially in the stages for Slash, Blade and Larcen.Larcen rocked by the way- his fatality is also the best.

  • this boss is balls-to-the-wall hard.

they don't do 'em like this anymore and that's actually good.

get killed by him and it's game over.

no continues or anything. just BAM. gone.

  • @Edelbluete

Yeah. They make you feel wasted if you lose and no chance is given. And you'd hear mad laughter in the darkness. The same should be done for WW M. Bison, Igniz, '94 Rugal, Gill and Seth. They are the Band of Brothers.

  • @SeventhSun they did this in Zero 3(arcade version). when you lose to Shin Vega, you get turned into one of his puppets. bam game over

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Sure. I played it before and have watched people lose even with Akuma haha. A disgrace especially when M. Bison lost his lethality from the first Zero game (those shoto slimes are so lucky).

  • @SeventhSun lol. must have spent atleast $30 alone on him trying to learn the A.I. pattern.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Not your cup of tea this type of games huh? Who did you use?

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

"in EC, i mained Larcen. SF zero 3, my main is Dan. it depends though, most of the time i don't have a main or a secondary, i'll just use most of the cast."

Hmm Dan. He's a God-tier character because his taunts kill many opponents easily, but he's not too hard to use. Probably you wanted to do something different and challenge yourself back then, which isn't a bad thing.

No I don't ask for main or secondary. I don't do that speak. I'd just ask who do you use, and more.

  • @SeventhSun well, the challenge in using Dan was always trying to get into close range. since his specials were always so weak. lol but that was the fun

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Yeah that's true. Other than solo play I sometimes use him in Dramatic Battle too with my biker friend (ah he's always picking Akuma). Hmm I think I'd put up a video of him against M. Bison just for kicks.

And he's pretty good in Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition haha. You play the game?

  • @SeventhSun he was actually good in the original console Super SF 4, after all the balance changes, he's abit weaker. they made so many dumb changes

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Yup, that's "balance" as a result of those whiners that buy and can't play fighting games at all. I know some like that though, including offline, but I'd withhold the name list for now hahaha.

Anyway I'm happy to see Dan in Street Fighter IV make an appearance in the arcades. And Juri.

  • @SeventhSun surprisingly enough, even the japanese players hate Arcade Edition. they're only playing because there aren't any other major titles out yet

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Why their hatred? Probably they hate the idea of over-balancing like I do, but tell me anyway.

And I think Yun and Yang are very strong entrees, and Yang seems even stronger than Yun. Oni and Evil Ryu? Show exceeds substance.

  • @SeventhSun Overall Balance in the original console edition of Super 4 was pretty good save for a few characters. In AE, the "balance" pretty much consisted of nerfs across the whole roster. the overall top 3 best characters in AE are Yun,Yang, and Fei-Long.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

You see, this tells you many things. There is no such thing as balance in the real world, for those who actually lived in it. Imbalance is the real balance. "Balance" is for those idling idealistic freaks in the West as opposed to the East, and including Japan? They talk more, we do more.

I believe Crapcon is doing that mostly to address Western concerns, which is why Evil Ryu is not as murderous as he was in Street Fighter Zero 2.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

And that Oni which is another answer to Shin Akuma.

Crapcon as you know, is incapable of managing this very delicate Western issue. I believe you are Asian but if you are not, do take offense as I speak my mind freely. As I was saying, they either overdo or underdo things. Look at how they nerfed Sagat. The reason why they made him exceptionally advantageous even since the II days is because in the 1987 debut game he was the last boss.

  • @SeventhSun Oni is Techincally what Shin Akuma is supposed to be. back then, when ROM memory costed a premium, companies like capcom were forced to swapping data to create characters.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Yes special effects and look he is. Other than that air Raging Demon move (that they copied from their Marvel VS games) he is not as deadly as the one in Street Fighter Zero 2.

And I also noticed that the earlier games limited by technology showed promise. As technology improves, the promise is weakened.

I see. I also noticed when they began their II, Zero and III series it'd always be just a few characters to test response. As public acceptance grows, so do their rosters.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

This is a symbolic reason that goes beyond everything else. Why they respect the Thais and their Muay Thai is also because they were the only martial arts school that were game enough to challenge the Kyokushin karatekas in Japan, that Mas Oyama sent to meet them.

And look at their damage scaling as a second example. So much work, for far lesser? Come on.

Yeah nerfing is also balancing. Nerfing IS balance.

  • @SeventhSun comparing both Super CE(original) to Super AE, it's worse as alot of what made characters strong in the first place was removed. it's funny, because back in the day we didn't complain, we just dealt with it

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Well said. We all understood Ken and Ryu are cheap, and Sagat is another copy cheap, but that's about it. The population of shoto sperms remain the same but people those days just do it, just play and they don't talk too much about rubbish like spacing, zoning, spamming, tick-throws, balance blah blah.

Like golf there is a distinct difference between theory and practical, and between talking and doing.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Cutting down special moves, their combo abilities and such, I guess the many failures who asked for it should be very happy now. SNK is also very capable of that too. King of Fighters '99 is very balanced, yeah, but it is also among the LEAST POPULAR in the series. People should come to terms with things they can't do for the sake of all, but unfortunately these same people are not just losers they are also hypocrites.

  • @SeventhSun 99' was actually one of my top favs in the whole series. my only problem with it was that they changed the backwards evasion roll to the god-awful snap back that you had to use a special move in order to cancel.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

    @DragonSlayerKyo

Probably the story is captivating and the characters could do less maybe appearing as less cheap.

I take the story and the atmosphere as the franchise takes a new direction. '00 became sunnier as everyone got a clue on what was going on. King is the best character as she had every move and Super Desperation Move that was ever known from '94.

  • @SeventhSun and '99 had some of the best music in a KOF game to date as well

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Psycho Soldiers and Kim Team are good. So's Realization before Igniz. The rest are so-so.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

    @DragonSlayerKyo

Even Ryo and Robert didn't have that much privilege, their teacher Takuma is the same old overpowered ass crap and Terry has a couple of new special moves I liked. The rest suffered multilation and Chin is not as strong.

    Haha talk about "balance" again.

  • @SeventhSun atleast they seperated Ryo and Robert in the Nests Saga games. Robert wasnt a "shoto" clone style fighter anymore. that i liked.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Robert became like Guile haha. And he's still damn good. But that wasn't popular so they reverted him from 2001, a great game.

  • @SeventhSun 2001 took time to grow on me. i forgive the poor control in it. that was the game's only problem

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Poor control? It was pretty stiff like '98.

  • @SeventhSun well, i never had any problems doing stuff in '98. the control programming in 2001 felt/was so unfinished due to the state SNK was in at the time

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

I don't either. But it's not smooth that's all I'm saying. 2001 is good because a lot of removed things were restored. I didn't like what they did to Benimaru (not that flip kick SDM cancel) and Chin, but Kim despite his sliding flip kick gone was exceptionally easy and fun to use.

2002 has the smoothest control among the three but I don't like that game that much.

And dear lovable Igniz is stupider than Orochi hahaha.

  • @SeventhSun the Slide kick was a move that nobody ever really used. yeah it's a fun thing to hit with when you catch someone off guard... but why keep something in that a vast majority don't use?

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Though it can be punished when blocked but it can be comboed into also (that spastic imposed break on the first kick of the C button that joins every special move), but it's always nice to have variety. In economics more is preferred to less, and in this aspect I agree totally.

I also thought about what you said before as a possible reason, I know what you mean, but that's still not good enough. 2001 is great because that spastic C button break requirement was gone.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

And I'd share with you a secret: I started liking KOF '99 only when I bought and played the Sega Dreamcast import version (that thankfully has the story in English, Spanish and Portuguese also) and the reason why I got it in the first place was because I heard Krizalid was usable. Prior to that I bought the Sony PlayStation version and it was just an average experience with no boss options.

I saw people use Krizalid in the arcades (called Magicess) and I was thrilled.

  • @SeventhSun 99 Evolution was the best SNK home port to date at the time. all the tweaks made to it made it a better experenice.

enabling Krizalid in the arcade version was as simple because all you needed to know is how to work the dip switches.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Actually I would prefer the bugs to remain, the maintain the true arcade experience. Like Kensou's Altered Beast upwards kick for example.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

I'm happy to know you tried it out. It is a game worth buying.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

I loved the expanded stages, the play and the extra strikers (though I wish those Kyo ones could be usable), understood the system and combos better from there and later on tried the Neo Geo MVS version.

I only lament that Iceman Krizalid was not available. Little moves but so what? I liked his 2-hit icy blasts and strong basic attacks!

At the end of the day I thank the information technology vigilantes for helping fans by making BOTH versions of Krizalid usable.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

It was also from there that I realised the two-hit fierce punch was a later effort as the arcade version of him had the 3-hit fierce kick instead that they removed - another stupid balance attempt I think.

Do try the Sega Dreamcast version if it is possible and share with me your thoughts on that one too. It's a bit imperfect but still very good. The remixed stages were also better than the terrible '98 ones they first attempted.

  • @SeventhSun '99 evo fixed alot of bugs that were in the arcade version. i still have it here. they included '99 Evo in the Nests collection instead of the normal MVS version.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

I see. The PlayStation 2 huh?

    They should offer both.

Counting the remakes '95 is the only title in the series to NOT have a combo register, which is sad. This is like not being able to play Rockman 7 on the Sony PlayStation when the rest including 8 were in.

  • @SeventhSun well it isnt like you can do very long combos in the early games anyway..

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Long combos aren't important to me at all. I want the register anyway because it is a nice touch and it works for Chin. You might as well say that for '94 Re-bout also.

The old days when a basic 3-hit or 5-hit actually means something.

  • @SeventhSun i do miss that simplicity at times

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Do you play KOF XI and onwards?

  • @SeventhSun yeah. but i could never get used to the tag system in place in XI.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Thank God the rubbish Evolution Disc second "balanced" version of Rival Schools was not released in the arcades. Freaking boring crap like King of Fighters '99, though the cinemas, silent and mysterious atmosphere and the programming busting in the latter were good.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Actually for fighting games if there aren't arcade releases beforehand I'd consider them as mostly illegitimate. Super Street Fighter IV (not Arcade Edition) and Marvel VS Capcom 3 are those fine, shining examples.

  • @SeventhSun lol, yeah. pretty much everyone likes Super 4/console edition(original) over AE. patching coming soon haha. but still we're too spoiled by today terms...

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Well they can play consoles safely at home. Patches are for crybabies that will never go far and are not meant to play fighting games. I can understand why patches were invented - the reason is because fighting games are traditionally the least-appreciated and understood genre of video games by the dumb populace and in order to increase the user which leads to sales base for this and future such games these companies thus had to resort to something like this.

  • @SeventhSun well, if it's a genuine change that makes a positive effect on the game ( KOF 13 ARC v1.1 to console KOF 13) then i'm for it. but too many negative changes will put players off. and that's the major difference from the original SF development team and now). the changes had a good effect on a game. who characters werent changed, just how their tools worked in a given situation.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Genuine change, which is like, let me see, bringing back dropped old moves, restoring their range, hits and damage? I don't see anyone noticing these things when they played Third Strike as opposed to New Generations or Second Impact, or the King of Fighter 2002 as opposed to '98. I don't hear of them wanting those things either.

I thought people are just playing and are meant to be stupid.

  • @SeventhSun

And I thought the dumb anus-faced people are all for "balance" like the pseudo-Libras and Communists that they are.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

And we should laugh at the fact that Marvel 3 doesn't show the word OR EVEN UTTER 'perfect!' when a player gets one, be it against a player or the computer. It's probably quietly omitted to prevent those kids, noobs and pro pro pros from committing suicides in the comfort of their own homes.

I bought copies of it only because of Felicia (I could care about Captain Commando and Megaman) after she was being left out of the garbage Tatsunoko VS Capcom and now I feel cheated.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

That is my favourite predicament for those sperms who use Akuma - AND LOSE. Oh you'd be surprised.

  • @SeventhSun well Akuma/Gouki never had the health to back up his attack power.. that's why most westerns use him as a keep away. Tokido is still godlike with him though

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

It's true, but Akuma's nature is that of a powerful attacker, not a retreater or even much of a strategist, including combos though they are of course nice to see. The Westerners and many others don't get it. An acquaintance of mine who is a diehard fan said to me that most people even in Asia don't fully realise his true killing nature when they play as him, and his checks appear to reveal that the best Akuma player can only be found in Japan.

  • @SeventhSun Tokido and alot of japanese pleayers are much more of a common sight at today's nationals than they were say, about 8 years back. thank sponsorships for that. i'm not complaining though. it gives us a chance to rise and get better at the game. and i'm all for that.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Actually, I do not bother with Japanese players, though I know a lot of apparent underachievers from Asia and the West blow up to them. Rise, get better at the game? Well, I don't believe in that because the Japanese made the game and so it is NATURAL they should be the best at it, that is my MINIMUM expectation of them, and a shocking thing I heard from a dumb Asian recently is to mimic pro pro pros, which is equivalent to using the same strong characters

  • @SeventhSun sadly, that's the way alot of low caliber players think. back in the A3 days i'd place atleast top 10 with Dan. that got me some real strange looks, even death glares as to why i was using such a "low tier" character.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

So you got in the scene from a long time ago. Not bad. I got the deadly glare, got called an idiot, and a lot of angst-ridden mind-fucked confusion from those shotosperms and garbage (those old farts make me laugh) when I went into the arcade last year and challenged them in Super Turbo using Classic Balrog.

  • @SeventhSun yeah, I've been Playing at Chinatown Fair arcade for pretty much my whole life. have yet to go to Next Level because it's simply a far ride from me. an almost 2 hour trip at best. at CTF(and now Next Level) you'll pretty much find a wide array of different characters being used.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Just discovered from the still of another video that SNK stole Sega's costume idea for Jetta for their Angel.

  • @SeventhSun not surprising, really. this tends to happen a lot. someone sees a good idea,uses/modifies it so it won't be an exact carbon copy. we've both been around a long time to see it happen countless times before.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Ah of course. The idea of keeping safe and winning in the corporate world is usually to copy without being too obvious, and when lawsuits would prove too costly on hindsight parody characters are created in lieu of them.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Oh that place. You're on the Eastern seaboard so it shouldn't be too surprising. Too bad they closed. I've never been to that place although I really should (the town's made for me anyway hahaha) but as they say nothing lasts forever.

It's good to hear that the players there appear to be more interesting. Where I'm from it's been the same since ten years ago.

  • @SeventhSun I think you'd find it interesting. i took my first tournament trip out of state when i was 13. never forgot that moment. placed 11th out of a possible 40(i think it was 40. hard to remember, it was a long time ago, lol).

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Was it World Warrior or was it Champion Edition? I hate Champion Edition as it's too toned down from World Warrior especially in terms of damage.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

But of course if it was Champion Edition I'd still love to hear about it.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Overstatement. Make that twenty. The 90s were a good and pretty memorable time, but they weren't really where play is concerned.

  • @SeventhSun Depends on how you look at it. There was a lot more passion in those days compared to now. Everything's become/or slowly becoming very corporate in nature. While this pays for players fees and all, everything else took a back seat.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

The technology was poor (I still can't believe there are no fighting videos of Tomo Ohira in action though so much has been said about him by the older people), the house rules and thinking were mostly dumb although I like a couple of them against Ryu and Ken (I also heard if the user spams too much he gets a chance of being stabbed?), but I'd make a small concession that the arcade and home console line ups were pretty varied and interesting.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

I'm not sure if I mentioned it here yet, but I've begun to feel that those arcade wins if not recorded let alone on maximum settings are a waste of time. I mean like, you just talk about it, but who knows? This is the 21st Century, and so we shouldn't have to deal with 20th Century problems and restrictions. Understandably I was disappointed that Street Fighter IV was still like that. With flesh mods and recordable replays who needs to step outside today?

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Strong wins, lucky wins, unbelievable wins, I like them all no matter what anyone says.

  • @SeventhSun or picking the right moment. no matter how bad you're doing, don't give in. there's always a chance to a come back, no matter how slight it is. even if it's a 1/100th of a chance, i'll still take it cause it's better than nothing at all.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Good advice. Overall it's also about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Ah Wong was impressive when he had a pixel of life left in Marvel 3 and managed to destroy his opponent anyway. He pretty much repeated his will to survive from Marvel 2 in an earlier tournament.

  • @SeventhSun This is pretty much what separates the good players from the bad ones. i've seen it too many times. times where some people would just way away from the machine when things aren't going good for them(or in today's case, pull out the cat5 cable. lol)

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Corporate? I thought video games were made for the money in the very first place? Maybe you meant something else.

  • @SeventhSun Corporate Sponsorships. That's what I mean. players being sponsored by big names Like MadCatz, Hori, and the Like.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Oh that. Well let our pro pro pros get a little consolation prize this time for all their dead serious business instead of precious nothing by tradition shall we?

  • @SeventhSun by all means, my friend.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

I recently got to know about the alleged corruption that exists in the Dead or Alive community regarding its tournaments. I like the combo register in that babe-infested 3-dimensional fighting game, and it's just too bad the players spoiled it.

And since business and politics are not always free of corruption then I don't see what makes tournaments so privileged to be totally exempted too.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

and doing the same set of things. Killing innovation just to try to win. I'm not sure what this kind of win is like or what I SHOULD even call it, I don't think many people are sure though their mindset is just like 'I'd just do that to win', but it defeats the nature of playing these games.

  • @SeventhSun people just want to follow who wins. sadly

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Just like the multitudes of losers that walk up the sides on PGA grand events whenever Tiger Woods or some other golfer strikes a good distance with the ball. They follow like the wondrous averages that they are.

They need someone well-defined for them out there to be what they weren't ever meant to be and to live their dreams for them I guess. They are also the same flops that can't meet even half of their own expectations.

I really can't imagine living a life like this.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

I heard from an underachiever over there recently who amusingly justified his sucking ups just to watch a better game, I mean he can diss others and himself and memorise oriental names and back them even when they're not as good and be like this and be himself forever, that's his choice of life and nobody should try to stop him.

Why also talk about dignity when it never existed?

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

I'm not sure about you but I believe in beating people in my own way. I don't see those petty tourney medals as important. Benefactors I reckon don't come to you that way either.

  • @SeventhSun my reason was never to "eye on prize". i just enjoy the battle. everything else doesn't really mean much to me. but sadly, some see these as really important

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

They sell away their values and their initial enthusiasm for the game for those cheap accolades that'd also help in their job resumes eh? Willing prostitutes all in all but ironically most of them are in reality virgins also.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

    Shotosperms.

  • @SeventhSun haha!

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Too many bargain store visits by a practical and miserly pugilist.

  • @Edelbluete that's why that game is somewhere in the darkness collecting dust..what about the last guy from Street Fighter 3 Dreamcast? Tough cheating dude also..LOL

  • @jesumele

Oh that's Gill, my favourite character.

  • @SeventhSun he sure is tough as nails too..LOL, I might go into that dark corner and find the Eternal Champions game I can play it on the Nomad. I bet you don't remember that portable system..

  • @jesumele

You lost, I do. I almost wanted to buy it in '96. Give it a go.

  • @jesumele Gill? it's all about learning how to counter-act him. i know a few people who can get the game's highest raking(Master Street Fighter) and not lose to gill. he's actually not that hard once you learn his patterns and how to parry

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Not bad. That means a Double Perfect? If done with Ken and Ryu then that's alright.

And actually Gill is very easy to just win, especially when I use Oro against the hopper and even on Level 8. I'd show ya. You don't even need to parry anything.

  • @SeventhSun

It's so incredibly easy and simple it's unbelievable.

I laugh at the tutorial video some of those ghetto geeks do with Ryu (and they don't get a double perfect).

  • @SeventhSun nope. we don;t use shotos. double perfect with characters like Alex and Necro.

  • @DragonSlayerKyo

Not bad. You and your friends know this low-sales ghetto game well it seems. I think it's arcade default, but not too bad still. And I was afraid you'd say Remy hahaha.

  • this bring back memories

  • Whatever.

  • Way back when. Was obsessed with beating it with every character to read these endings.

  • How many did you manage?

  • I believe between the two of us (me and my brother) we did them all though I don't remember for certain if we managed John Blade's.

  • I only managed with Trident. The Eternal Champion is a BITCH to fight!

  • I only managed to win with Trident because I would use all of his various shield powers. The Eternal Champion is a BITCH to fight

  • I was never good enough to actually beat this game, but from comparing what I've heard about the endings, isn't Xavier's the most beneficial? I mean, if he gained the power to travel through time, couldn't he just save everyone else?

  • Men are not good with details.

  • I strongly think he did. When the text says "he was able to fix key events in time", it's somewhat clear that he saved the others from their demises.

  • Yup, obviously. It's a bargain actually. You use one right character like Xavier, and all ten participants (including himself) are saved from their unjust ends.

Unlike where you beat the Eternal Champion with anyone else the others pretty much remain as dead as they were destined to.

  • And to be honest, his ending here is WAY BETTER than the sega CD one - the sega CD ending is more elaborated, but also very cheesy.

  • @SeventhSun The only problem is that according to the sequel, time has been resetting the whole time and the Eternal's contest is constantly ending in a stalemate thanks to interference from his brother, the Dark Eternal Champion so Xavier technically changed nothing by winning the contest. :( The Dark EC hid four Champions from the Eternal that were the key to solving this. (though that's not enough as the Dark EC would eventually require champions of his own.)

  • the only way i could beat the game was with trident lol that scisor kick is deadly

  • same here oldschool, im 29 now and i did beat it once with that vamp dude midnight. Hardest game i ever played. Don't make em like they used to!

  • The only challenge is the difficulty. There is no fun in it at all though. "Challenge" and "fun" are sometimes two very different things altogether.

It is indeed good that they don't make crap like this anymore. Stop at one I'd say. Play other better fighting games with your life.

    Next.

  • here is a question would you rather be forced to play through this shitty game again or play shaq fu for the genesis and final fight: street wise for the ps2? haha

  • I would wish there is a window. Because the chances of surviving a jump from a window are higher a playthrough of any of these commercial nightmares.

  • well it would be like being trapped in a psych ward i would eat the games rather than play them at least i could choke and die lol

  • I beat the Eternal Champion with Trident.I wasn't easy,after several tries,I did it.

  • Dude that's awesome I was thirteen when this came out now I'm Twenty nine. Still have the game AN STILL CAN'T FUCKING BEAT IT AAAGGHHH! ! ! LOL. This is one game I still have yet to beat from the 16 bit era.

  • Next.

  • It's official. Xavier is an atheist and the skeptics then ruled the world with science and reason!

  • i beat the eternal champion with trident and slash

  • Next.

  • i remember i beat him once as midknight and xavier when i owned the sega channel but it's been at least over 12 years since i played this game damn time flies

  • Damn, I have never beat that Eternal Champion. His jumps are his weakness but you must apply a good strategy to beat him :)

  • Awesome text for an ending, too bad there's no pictures to accompany... Cheap until the end!

  • WTF i can never beat that mofo!!!

  • i never beat that damn game!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I still love this game...

  • "...causing the world to be filled with science and tolerance for the unusual."

If only that really happened, maybe we wouldn't have people like Fred Phailps and Cunt* Hovind.

*hmm, spellcheck is onto something here...

  • You should do the rest of the Characters!

  • Tolerance for the unusual... that is awesome. Thanks for the video.

  • awesome, too bad this is the only ending on youtube:(

  • Yeah, I'd like to see the other endings. :(

  • i liked rex best

  • not trying to souond nerdy here, but his name was rax.. :-)

  • I gotta say, I'd have been pissed if I had actually gone through the trouble of beating that game and all I got was text. Thankfully, you did it for me instead.

  • So a character whose powers come from "real science" saves himself by... magically traveling through time?

  • Time traveling is more of a science than magic isn't it? Haven't you heard of what is called 'science fiction'?

  • Xavier is amazing! I am very glad you posted this I never got this far in the game.

  • I Despise This Game, I have no idea how people could like this P.O.S

  • Well, the fact that Taunts did something, there was a story, specials couldn't be spammed, it has an actually difficult single player, decent amount of multiplayer aspects (including fights with stage hazards), and each character was different in one aspect or another made this a favorite for many. My only gripe with this was some of the music, but it was still awesome. Most epic fights I had in multiplayer was on this game.

  • @laughingfurry

And the AI could spam specials and taunts when their yin yang fraction icon is a shining red dot. Not meaningful.

And you can't choose the Eternal Champion and any of his forms and no one has unlocked the programming error yet. Not good.

  • @SeventhSun

Yeah, there is the problem of the AI being able to spam specials. I've had ridiculiously long bouts due to Shadow constantly throwing bombs and darts. However, I eventually learned how to get past those problems and take out some otherwise annoying characters.

I actually prefer the Eternal Champion not being playable due to how cheap he could be. Perhaps a lesser Eternal Champion, but not what's at the end.

Out of curiosity, what programming error are you talking about?

  • @laughingfurry

Of course, these blinking spammers are no match for me as well, but their actions just annoy me.

You use Shadow. Sure, I thought she is a difficult character to use.

If all five forms of him are usable and abides by the Yin Yang icon limitations he'd be better.

  • @laughingfurry

I don't even mind the basic one where he has just fast and strong attacks.

Oh haha the programming error is just my way of saying a boss is programmed into a fighting game but cannot really be deprogrammed to be usable by the player.

  • xavier and rax were my two chars of choice i was either one of those two...no one else...

    great vid i loved it!

  • Sure, for me I only go with Xavier. Even though I don't really like this game but I do like the victory and the ending theme that really makes you feel good and gives you a great sense of accomplishment.

  • see i when i played this i was 6 and i never ever beat it so now im 18 and seeing what happens to one of my favorite guys you made me feel like a child...in a good way.

    thank you.

  • man you rule, how did you destroy the boss please tell, it's really hard

  • Oh, just pick a character that does a decent air kick (like Xavier) and keep doing that (jump forward kick) on that "Eternal Champion". If you can trap him in the corner, just keep doing a stationary jump air kick and you'll bring him down.

Watch my full run video of this game.

  • thank's man YOU RULE

    BEST

  • Oh, so he's vulnerable in the air. Thanks for stating.

  • i got this game for free and it was around the mortal kombat times, so i never really played it, too hard and cartoony. but i loved the soundtrack!

  • i have this game and i still can't even beat it lol

  • Great job...many times getting to the Eternal Champion and then having my ass handed to me over and over, made me so frustrated. I always wanted to know what happened to the characters. Thanks to you, I now know Xaviers ending. Thank you!!!

  • No probem! ^_~

  • I hope this isn't too much to ask, but would it be possible for you to do the ending for all the characters of the Eternal Champions (not EC:CftDS), and post their completed stories after they are returned to their time on YouTube like you did for Xavier??

  • I would try. Thank you for your asking.
