As soon as you mentioned 440 stainless, I was turned off. I've never been able to get 440 to take and/or hold an edge worth a hoot on any blade. Pity, because otherwise this looks like a decent knife. :-(
What's with all the knife newbs saying this is a ti lite rip off-- Cold Steel didn't invent the stiletto design you know, and the handle on this isn't some wannabe ninja looking crap. Damn it, I hate dumb comments. Anyhow, Boker Magnum is a perfect balance of quality and price, unlike the other companies that have ripped off this design (right down to the laminate wood inlays) but failed to copy the quality of parts. Can't wait to get this knife in the post, I can tell its an instant classic!
Looks nice, but I'm unsure of the liner lock. I have the same type of knife made by a different company (Virtually identical) And if you flip the knife open fast too many times, the liner lock will either bend or get filed away to where it will overshoot the blade completely and wedge itself on the other side, making it almost impossible to close the knife without a tool of some kind.
Of course since this is a Boker it might be much better quality. I love my Magnum elk hunter.
i have this knife an di like it. its good for everyday pocket knife use. i did take the pocket clip off though and i bent the tip of the knife a little so i had to try and fix that but it still is "a very cool little knife"
That's a beautiful knife, but I don't do liner locks anymore. I had a Cold Steel Ti Lite both 4 and 6 inch models and that liner lock failed both times. Great review though. * * * * *s
What the heck were you doing with those knives? throwing them at rocks? Liner locks get a bad rap. You shouldn't be putting enough stress on the back of your blade to fail any lock. Treat you locked blades like they're slipjoints. Locks are a safety. It's still a FOLDING knife.
Also the ti-lite has a mighty strong liner lock. My guess is you were abusing your blades.
Quillion, folded over liner, off-center pivot, flared out bottom of the handle. Looks a lot like a Cold Steel Ti-Lite to me. I'm not the biggest fan of cold steel but this is still obviously taking many features from their Ti-lite series.
Oh ok so it's a cheap knockoff of a Ti-Lite. Good to know.

I wanna buy this for $11.99. Is that a good price? Seems like it to me. Just wanted to make sure before I bought it.
