right, that means that the micra is running 147bhp per tonne (estimated)
impreza is running 178bhp per tonne (estimated) and the mini was running 103bhp per tonne (estimated)
so for the micra to just be able to keep up with the 4WD impreza, the micra has to find...over 30bhp, which hes acheived through whatever mods he's carried out (full exhaust system and manifold, possible re-map, performance filter etc.) so for a 1.3, its not bad at all. just needs turboing ; )
@checoles my 250cc kart wouldve played around with that impreza. 80bhp and weighed 200kg with me on it meaning 400bhp/tonne. 0-60 3.5s top speed 160mph depending on gearing. a lot of fun 2 inches off the floor and 8 grand brand new cant go wrong.
Pretty sure it is a Pulsar motor, but it's definitely FWD though. In another vid it's announced as FWD, and then does a FWD burnout with the rear wheels locked.
nope just another example of how fast these little japanese pocket rockets realy are when they arent being driven by your nan at 10mph...
its a CG13DE nissan micra engine, front wheel drive with about 100bhp and weighs about 680kg's, the impreza is about 250bhp and over 1400kg's. do the maths.
I had a Mini (1980 model) a few years back which was running around the 80/85bhp mark, and due to its modest weight loss programme, it only weighed around 620kg. Now doing the math, (if ever so slightly roughly) it should have given the Micra and the Impreza a run for their money any day of the week. Quick though it was, I don't think for a second it would have kept pace with a 250bhp Impreza. Power and weight is one thing, but don't forget traction and torque either.
who would rather have subaru i know i would

, yeah, the thing about the mini is they had about the slowest changin gearbox on the planet, and even the 1.3i was only kickin out 65bhp.

what the point in saying its 1.3L without stating all the mods. A 1.3L micro wouldnt beat a my nan off the lights never mind an impreza

Don't forget the thing probably weighs about 2 kilos though.
