I think a lot of what makes Rondo of Blood so appealing is that it looks almost exactly like Symphony of the Night, giving the games an apparent connection. That is totally lost in this version. Also, some of the graphics are just plain bad. There's no need to make everything 3D... Especially when the 3D looks worse.

Trust me on this not only does dracula x chronicles is a remake of the japenese version yo get to choose ur own music for all 16 stages plus find the original japenese version in english AND REMASTERED symphony of the night with a few sega saturn extras!!! all the original castlevania fans will love if they get it

the way he walks is very well programmed like the entire game it seems but he should also be able to run somehow just to change animation.When that big monster is after him at 1:20 he looks pretty ridiculous

Nah, SOTN is pretty perfect the way it is. Great sprites with many animations. Great music and art and storyline. A sequel to SOTN with Curse's graphics or better will be much better. Or a Dracula's Curse remake, that would be epic

Dracula x chronicles isn't the hardest in the series, but if you are new to the series just try this one and then play the harder ones (bloodlines, 3, super castlevania 4 etc) if you have any questions feel free to ask, as a long term fan I am always happy to help newcomers to the series :)

In a sense. It's a remake of a game that Symphony of the Night is a direct sequel to, Rondo of Blood. Which was only ever released in Japan until X chronicles, the original Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night are unlockable bonuses.

there are three problems with this game, and the first is the life system. you get killed in only like 5 hits! dang hes weak. the second is the bosses they move too fast and the ones that move slow have the most powerful attacks! the third is the floating eyes that pop out of no where!what is with that you can barely hit them and by the time theyre dead theyve hit you like 3 times!this game is enjoyable but very flipping hard!
