@kurtovunc i'm a cowboy irl; say that to my face in real life, fucker, and i'd have drawn iron on you before you could blink and you'd be shot and you'd be dead. who's the smart guy now, mr?
Why hasn't this been released on DVD? I recall seeing this for the first time back in 197-something at the age of 13 or 14 on a holiday in Italy. My older coulsin took both myself and my brother to the flicks to watch this one evening. Didn't understand a word since it was in Italian, but we were both blown away by the film and the score. After the fnale and credits, we looked at each other with a WTF have we just watched look on our faces. Why hasn't anyone posted the film on YouTube yet?
@namor357 Go to ...i offer; a place to buy sell or trade.... and you can order from several people almost any spaghetti western in English.Also... European trash cinema .... most likely would sell it in English
Among the currrent film makers Quentin Tarantino is the only one who realized that the real goldmine of Italian cinema was not in the snobbish list (Fellini, Antonioni, you name it), but in the b-movies. Thang god he is keeping alive the genre whereas the Italians totally caved in to minimalist shit passed off as art
Well for Inglorious Basterds the man who was his composure was working on some other things so he gave him music he did from other films. Even though Tarantino wanted an original score, but I get your point.
Its a metaphor, take it how you want it, it was meant to shut up idiots who spend there time arguing on the internet not to discourage the handicapped or disabled.
The interiors were usually filmed in Rome. Exteriors-Almeria,Spain which is all desert with Italian, spanish, and the token American actor, usually the star. Tarantino took from a lot great but ignored films. Only people who know these films can see it.
@quizno1992 Same here. It made me want to rewatch the good, the bad and the ugly. I liked "the lonely shepherd" in kill bill. it got me to like the pan flute
Spain, my friend. Only a few of them were filmed in Italy. Majority, the directors were from Italy (Leone, Sollima, corbucci, Castellari....) but the "american wild weste" as you said, is Spain (mainly, Almeria).
Alas, even if they were filmed in Almeria, it was an Italian Production. I'll give you, though, that a few movies, such as Django, were Italo-Spainard productions.
Many of the great western classics back in the days were actually made in Italy and with the dialog recorded in italian with Italian actors, thereof the crude term "spaghetti" western. :)
The term comes from the fact that Italian directors made these films. It has nothing to do with 'spaghetti' meaning bland or anything. That's what I first thought, anyway, until I actually saw one.
I watched a Spaghetti western on TV going by the name of ''Vengeance'' last night but this is not it, The movie I saw was in color and had a left handed protagonist and a Mexican villain who wore a sulfur necklace. I did try to google it but found nothing. Any help would be appreciated.
