June july are cool no rain on the west (beach place) best light for photo (with may) but little cold for me (25 28 in the air).
August september are the time for watch the whale with baby ; september october big waves !!
I don t go past 15 january to middle may, because of urricane (cyclone).

Need to get my visa done in the meantime. Thanks a lot for all the update. @stanzjukebox Dont wait to reserve your guesthouse "chambre d'hote" "location" if you travel from june to september ; because whales attract a lot of tourist, and july and august is the holiday time for french poeple how live in france. you can have a lunch from 5 euros to 10 euros in restaurant or mobil cook truck. many big Super markets are present on island. you re welcome for more questions.

Try to find a guesthouse or "chambres d hote" ; "gites de france" on the west coast next the best place like saint gilles, saint leu, l hermitage ; and rent a car for all your time travel to visit the rest. stay mini 15 days. you re welcome.
Like the steady camera in comparison to so many others that jump all over the place.

@stanzjukebox Hie, I'm a resident and fly frequently from Reunion Island to mainland France and Australia / New Caledonia.
The airline is Air Austral and does both short and long haul flights.

My trip startpoint was from Tallinn (Estonia) -> Helsinki (Finland) -> London-> Mauritius-> Saint Pierre.
