  • love ur vids sooo much, ur a very likeable person!!!

  • @A07392115 Thank you so much! :)

  • Hey Mrs. Nadine!! Love your videos. Where do you get your satin caps with the draw string, because I can't find any? and your big Giovanni Leave-in-Conditioner?

  • @Buttahology Thanks my lovely. I've bought them from a random beauty supply store, Try Walgreens or Wal-Mart. I know they sell them on amazon. Search on Amazon for draw string satin bonnet. xx

  • Hello, I just watched all of your videos with in the last 3 or so days... Fab you all. Funny as all get out and I love your method for natural care. My baby is a year and I am I styilst but not so experianced on %100 natural hair and you just gave sooooooooo much inspirations. I say thank you.

  • @LadyKaeLeena Aww, thank you so much for taking the time to watch and give feedback! I'm so glad the videos helped :) x

  • I was wondering if you could use aloe vera juice instead of acv to achieve the 4.5 ph balance?

  • @MsRain325 Yes, you can. I've tried it and it works. You have to keep your mixture refrigerated because aloe vera juice is very perishable. I didn't have the discipline to return it to the fridge after every use. You would only use a couple of drops of acv, but you need to use a lot of aloe vera juice to make a difference. Try it and see how you like it :)

  • great video!!..I've subbed

  • @brandyiloveu4ever Thank you! :)

  • I just saw 2 of your videos - they are AMAZING - just subscribed!!!

  • @supynorr Thank you! Thanks for subbing too :) x

  • @angelbelle831 :) Thanks x

  • Your so smart (and funny!) Would've NEVER thought to be checking the pH levels of my hair products! Gotta go buy some strips or the digital one now. Thanks a million for your videos!!! :)

  • @prttyladyb Aww, thank you! Yes, give it a try. xx

  • You look so pretty! Love your whole look!

Great vid. Im going to have to get some strips LOL.

  • @missthis897 Thank you so much :) x

  • IT IS SO GOOD TO SEE YOU! ;-)

  • @KeeKeeAllNatural Thank you!!! :)

  • Fabulous tip and your hair looks awesome. Thanks as always for sharing. BTW do you have to keep the mixture in the fridge??

  • @nosillaq Thank you!! No, you don’t need to refrigerate it. I use Apple Cider Vinegar as the acid, because of its antibacterial properties. I make a week’s worth and it keeps well. If you use Aloe Vera juice as the acid, you may need to refrigerate it.

  • Wow you look great! I love the earings,

  • @juicycassi1 Thank you my dear! <3

  • Hi. Can you tell me where to get the strips? Thanks! BTW........girls hair is nice! i did mini braids in my oldest daughters hair and has been so nice not to have to fuss with it in the am before school/work!

  • @cdrayt0n Hello! Yes, I bought them off Amazon. You can get them off ebay too. Thank you. Aren't mini braids the best? It takes a while to put in, but it's worth the time you save in the long run. :)

  • oh and i forgot to add, those earrings are fantastic! pray tell, where did you find them?

  • Comment removed

  • @girlsloveyourcurls never mind, just saw your answer in an earlier comment

  • @shonesters :) No probs.

  • Nadine, I always look forward to your videos! When your new ones come up on my subscription list, they are among the first I watch. I rarely think about ph testing, but I'm realizing it could be helpful for me. Might have to get one of those digital testers. Thanks for the video. :)

  • @shonesters Ahh thank you and you're welcome! I had to start testing when I realized that leaving alkaline products in my oldest daughter's hair was opening up the hair cuticles, leaving her already porous hair to dry out even more.

  • Great Tip! Thank you!

  • @NaturalNoni You're welcome :)

  • This was very helpful thank you!!!

  • @PalaisCristalLLC You're so welcome :)

  • Love this!!! Your hair is so beautiful I just wondering are your girls hair in twists or braids. They are pretty protective styles! It looks like a lot, about how long does it take you to do it all?

  • @StarKidzFive Thank you!!! Yes, I put mini twists in the girls hair. It took forever, especailly with having to work around baby. I had to stop and start and finish it over the course of 3 days.

  • Awesome tutorial and very informative! P.S., your daughters have incredible hair!!! :D

  • @CosmicLeoSpirit Ahh, thank you :)

  • LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your channel! So informative and inspirational. Do you have a Facebook Page by any chance?

  • @JKrewKidz2000 Thank you, thank you thank you! Lol. I really appreciate your support. Yes we do have a facebook page. Just search girlsloveyourcurls. I'll put a link in the description box

  • YOU ROCK, NADINE!!! Thanks for this info! I just haven't broken down and bought the strips. I keep hoping there's a way to do it/figure it out without the investment. :-(

  • @lanicert Thank you!! I feel you on that, but if you don’t change your products too often, you'll only need a few strips. You can get away with only testing products that are left on your hair for extended periods, such as leave in conditioners. IMHO, commercial products that you wash out like shampoos and conditioners don't really need it. When you've tested it once you’ll know the amounts and never have to test again. Myabe split a small pack with a friend and split the cost too :).

  • @GirlsLoveYourCurls That's true Nadine. Good idea. I might find a friend to go in on it with. Thanks!

  • First I haven't tried this yet myself--but the first thing I thought when I saw this was ACV smells so strong for a leave in. Have you tried using Aloe Vera Juice instead? It's odorless and acidic and great for hair as well.

  • @CherishMyDaughter Hello my lovely! ACV’s great because the scent vanishes. I used Aloe Vera Juice (AVJ), but it's perishable and needs to be refrigerated. The spray is mostly water and I make enough to last at least a week. In my experience water left, unrefrigerated, in a bottle, for a week, grows bacteria. I figured using AVJ would compound the issue and I'd have to refrigerate the spray (I'm not disciplined enough). ACV helps prohibited bacteria, it's cheaper & a little goes a long way :) x

  • @GirlsLoveYourCurls You're right about the AVJ being perishable, cheaper and needs to be refrigerated. When I sit down to do all those heads I hardly ever have any left over so the issue has never come up. Do you order your PH strips online?

  • @CherishMyDaughter Ha ha!! All that beautiful hair, I fully understand why you have no leftovers. I did buy the strips online off Amazon :) x

  • so good to see you!!! hope the girls had a wonderful first day back at school, their hair looked nice!! great video! :) xx

  • @louloumatou Thank you! It's great to be back. The girls love their new teachers and enjoyed their days :)

  • THANK YOU!!!!!! Glad you are back on track again...love love it....hmm well I guess u know me from Facebook too right (i posted the last protective hairstyle of my girl on your wall) ...can you imagine what has happened to me....oh mine..anyways, thank you again for the gr8 tip and I am looking forward for more..;-)

  • Great video, my little one was looking around for the girls this morning - they went back to school today also. He's probably thinking why is it so quiet today.

  • @akinneyeo1 Ha ha! Ahh, it must be so strange for them. It hasn't been this quiet since he came home from the hospital. lol. I hope your girls enjoy their day. Thanks for watching x

  • If I did that same mixture without the water, would the ph balance be the same? Albeit that water is neutral (ph of 7). ??

  • @Madameo8 No, I think the water makes it more alkaline, so if you don't use water, you will probably need less acv. I would only add drops at a a time, mix thoroughly and then test, just to make sure you don't add too much. x

  • @GirlsLoveYourCurls Awesome. Thanks. Did you use just plain 'ole tap water??

  • @Madameo8 Yes. Actually our tap water has a filter on it, so it's filtered tap water. :)

  • Love your videos and send me those earrings woman!

  • @superslyfoxx1 LOL! I could try and make you a pair out of construction paper and Scotch tape, but I'm warning you, they may not look the same ;o). Thanks for watching xx

  • 'm new to all this how do you use the moisture spray plus can u use with anything else?

  • @ladyshols I spray this on our hair every few days or whenever our hair cries out for moisture in between washes. I then seal with either an oil such as coconut oil or shea butter.

  • I will try that. I also need to know where you got those earrings!!!

  • @MissBibaDiva :) They're from Primark x

  • As always, an informative video. I need to ph balance some of my products.

  • @mekialovedat Thank you! I found it a lot cheaper than the specialized ph balanced products :)

  • Very informative...thanks!!! Do u know where I can pick up an affordable ph digital monitor?

  • @smilechild96 I bought mine a while ago from Amazon for around $39, but I'm sure you can get better deals if you check ebay and other online stores.

  • @jazzybee445 You're welcome! Thanks for watching :)

  • Would you mind sharing the specifics on the digital meter...i.e. brand, model, etc.? Thanks!

  • @TWEET629 Sure! It's a General Tools PH501 Digital Pocket PH Meter. I purchased it from Amazon a while ago for I think around $39? Hope that helps.
