I will be permanantly removing my high cabinets, as I'm making the kitchen larger. Is there any reason, besaides saving a couple of bucks, to not tile the entire wall and floor before installing the cabinets?
@ultimatehandyman ... Thanks! Yes, I'm also thinking of making the wall fixtures a bit oversized with something like rawl bolts. This will enable me to easily remove the cabinets from the walls for a yearly cleaning behind and underneath. Also for repairs or retopping them in my garge rather than in the kitchen.
If I get some modularity designed in, it will also allow my wife to rearrange the cabinets if she just wants to change things up.
I just finished my first ever tile job - travertine backsplash - and this video and others like it have been very helpful! My tiles turned out great, so thanks.
this is not a good way to start as you Ned to spread the wall fully to keep the spread up on the tiling. don't spread the adds-iv over your Pennzoil line as you can loose the line will tiling and don't let the tile adhesive on the work serfs and the wall. as this will make it hared to change the work surface in the future... good vid tho
Just about to tackle my own kitchen tiles, this video is a great help for someone like me who is a complete beginner. thanks for taking the time to make and upload.
It depends on how absorbant the surface to be tiled is and how warm the room is. You normally have a good 20 mins/ half an hour to get them stuck in position, that why I only did a small area at a time.
looks like a hacker to me.

It can make it harder to fit the cabinets, especially on the walls as you would have to drill through the tiles to fix them to the wall.

you don;t need to go mad when putting on adhesive i.e. don't put too much on at once
