@tenchinatent I think the dog already knows the baby's place in the pack, like he should! Its obvious that the baby is above the dog in this pack, how it should be! When you teach the dog from the very start that it has the lowest place in the pack, this doesnt have to be a problem. However, this can only take place under supervision of the adults, like every interaction between a small child and dog.

Must be cool to be that kid and have a great dog like that. And You've never met my dog Sabu if you think bullies aren't dangerous. We think he had something wrong with his head he'd break his teethe trying to get out of his kennel, start fights with all dogs, physically punched through a wooden door so he could come in the house and attacked friends. We were best friends but he was out of control and had always been aggressive. But he would never turn on my family just everyone one else.

@690169 no, not here in the Philippines. I have 13 dogs all in all, 4 dogs are rescue dogs. There is no law here banning any breed. I have one very loving and adorable pitbull. They run free in the house and garden, and sleep with us in our bedrooms. We have to have a full time staff to take care of them.

@lauwesendrutesvuur my mom was pretty skeptical too but then I actually took her to see some bull terriers and was showing her all the cute videos of them on youtube and she started to get attached toward them and now she wants one as well. I can understand why she might be not want one because they can look quite intimidating. Just show her their true nature and you could also say how this dog would make a good guard dog as well.
