Hitchens actually had the balls to try being waterboarded so he knew what he was talking about. I'm sure the footage of it is on youtube somewhere - you can bet all these prissy talking heads wouldn't be so flippant about the practice if they did the same.

It would be different if torture actually elicited some good information from people. But it doesn't, if you're being tortured you're going to say whatever the torturers want to hear to make it stop. It might sound like what you want but it isn't true most of the time. So not only is torture disgusting it generally gives false information, so what the hell is the point of defending it. This has been known for years too, Bush is an idiot for ever starting it.

I am a huge fan of MSNBC. Real investigative journalism is back! Have you seen Ed Schultz and Rachel Maddow -- both brilliant. And I have not found one untruth, or even misrepresentation in their reporting. (I like Olberman, but must admit he misrepresents some things sometimes.)
But my theory on Joe, is that they keep him around to show how ridiculous Republicans are -- especially now, with their mindless racist hatred of Obama. Can you believe these KKK inspired tea-bag rallies?

Ed Schultz does a GREAT job. But he has the wrong time slot. ´Cause (most of) the people he talks to and fights for are not at home at 6:00 pm or 7:00 pm. They should give him another time time slot or Ed Schultz should go to some Tonight Shows and newspapers to promote his show. As long as he doesn´t do that, I am afraid his ratings won´t get better. BTW, I think FoxNews might be a better place for Joe, ´cause he is too stupid!!!

Let´s be honest: Most of the people watching TV between 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm want to be entertained and are less interested in facts. That is the main reason behind the current "success" of Glenn Beck spreading the creaziest things I have ever heard on cable news. BUT Ed Schultz doesn´t just want to entertain. This GREAT man wants also to keep us informed and therefore needs a repeat of his show or a better time slot. I hope that will happen someday sooner than later!
