To add to what i put below, I think that it is important that big countries such as USA and China work harder to lower emissions as although emissions are not totally responsible for climate change, they are a factor. The UK is only responsible for 2% of emissions whereas the USA and China 'contribute' a lot more. It is everybodies responsibility to maintain and not poison our planet.
China may pollute more but they have 19% of the population, the UK has less than 0.1%. It's fair that 1.3 billion people pollute way more than 65 million people, if you look at per capita emissions then the UK is one of the biggest polluters.

I have an idea about safe, green, limitless energy supply but I will not tell anyone because I'm afraid people will steal my invention. I know the father of a friend, he invented a perpetuum mobile and he will not show it to anyone because of the same reason. People and their greed for power are the reason no one presents real alternate energy sources.

building new radioactive nuclear power plants is not going to help the world. their effect on the world is worse than global warming. the recent radioactive pollution leeks in france is an example why all nuclear power plants should be shut down as asap, its an old technology which is uneconomical and dangerous. its a con this advert is offensive!

the original is as you probably know by a guy named joe rapossi, unsure of spelling exactly, his version was written for sesame street for kermit the frog to sing, dont know if there are more verses, the advert is short, i think it was just made to fit it, ive heard rumours that bands have been covering it live though??

ive just started training for these guys..and i have to say...everyone is very committed to becoming alot greener...even down to the way that EVERYTHING gets recycled, we have seperated bins for everything..!! its brilliant..they are a really good company to work for....

Cars are a very efficient and important way of travelling. How can i be green huh when the government have just built another terminal at heathrow and want to build another runway. I think we should all be given Pollution credits that means for instance Britain has to reduce their pollution by 30% by 2012.This means each and every one of us will be involved and we will be able to take our government seriously

I work for them. OH PLEASE reducing their emmisions????? They have just got over 300 new vehicles, they dont treat their staff well either they give out that they wanna help us then refuse it when we ask. They are useless

I also work for EDF Energy, in the HR Dept to be exact, Let me tell you something.., this is the most committed I have seen a company act towards Climate Change, It also has one of the best benefit's packages that an employee could want, and does a hell of a lot for it's staff and commitments,

And you need to face facts that a lot of our work is done Field Based and thus vehicles are needed, It how they balance that out as a company that is important and research into Bio fuels, and the fact they are actually reducing the CAR fleet, speaks volumes, I don't really know what your problem is about the company but this is the forum to raise them in..
