  • the indidental music is like the 2nd World War...Well I think so...

  • Didn't they wonder why he was wearing custom clothes and Air Jordan's when they captured him?

  • How do flying searchlights into the sky help them kind "blue eyes"?

  • IT's a shame that stories with this much intelligence (even if a little stilted in acting) aren't on TV anymore for kids to watch. I think we have too much dumbed-down TV based on this bit. The music is great, the scenery is very good for '70s.

Guess my only quibble is that Zira and Cornelius decided to do the old "We were knocked unconscious by the human" gag to let the guy escape.

Also, I noticed Nova has Brett's tags - a tie in to beneath, which is odd given that they both die in that.

  • Yes it's a shame.

You will notice that while this is obviously influenced by both POTA and Beneath the POTA, the continuity is different. In those Brent left soon after Taylor.

Here there is no Taylor and when they talk about Brent they state that Brent was born a century later after them.

  • This is good but it's over scored.

  • i'm mildly entertain

  • You can mildly spell.

  • a mildly funny retort.

  • dr.zaies has one point: we humans are mass monsters of diistruction. all the war, economy loss, death, etc. we've cause. it's a wonder why half of the staute of liberty has'nt been amputated yet. i thnk the whole movie series indirectly tried to convey that we should learn to love each other. forget our diffrences and cooperate 4 the better good.

  • "I SPOKE BECAUSE I CAN SPEAK!!!"

lol no wonder the apes think humans are dumb

  • humans!!!, its good we are Vulcans,

    live long and prosper

love long and become a porn star :D

  • even it's a diffrent actress but dr.zira is still so sweet.

  • i love the close ups of the faces when their shocked lol

  • This is really great stuff.Saw it as a kid, amazing how these old programs , seen now, are NOT rubbish but stand up well. They certainly dont make kids tv like this any more!thanks for uploading, really enjoying it, first time ive seen it since original transmission.

  • 3:36~~~~~STRIKE A POSE!

  • lol but i hope everyone did understand how what the ape said was true about greed and stuff about humans

  • no way!, really?

  • I am really enjoying this but. Why is Zira calling Jeff Bright Eyes? That's her nick name for Taylor, gosh darn it!. I know as much as I possibly can about Plane of the Apes. So I'm not dumb about the franchise series. I've red all the books, seen al the movies and the short lived live action T.V series. Just never the cartoon. So, um yeah. Why is she calling HIM Bright Eyes though?

  • Well, she's actually calling him Blue Eyes, not bright eyes...it is really too similiar a nickname, though, I agree with you on that point. I love Planet of the Apes!

  • Oh, okay I see. Thanks for clearing that up, I was so confused by that. Cool series. However, it's just . Taylor is Bright Eyes. Blue Eyes isn't so bad I guess but they sound so much a like though. But I love Planet of the Apes though.

  • nice cartoon. Je je these apes are funny.

  • the 70,s had the best cartoons!

  • @jacko they did have great cartoons in the '70's, but some horrible animation...but somehow that makes it work!

  • @jacko Yeah 70's had the best cartoons 90's had the best animes. I dont see anything good been released in the last five years related to anime and no good cartoons been released in the last 10 years. Sorry if my english isnt very good

  • WPIX New York aired reruns of this cartoon on

Saturday mornings in the late 80s.

  • Yeah I concur. I remember this thing still being on the air as late as 1989, albeit tucked away in some graveyard timeslot like sundays at 6am. It was on either WPIX or WQTV 68 in Boston, and was blatantly anachronistic in the era of ninja turtles & nintendo.

  • Ahh,good old times ,good to see that, hope we can return to the planet of the apes in episode 3,thank you so far, Season 1 (1975-1976)

(13 Episodes In Season 1) 1. Flames Of Doom 2. Escape From Ape City 3. The Unearthly Prophecy 4. Tunnel Of Fear 5. Lagoon Of Peril 6. Terror On Ice Mountain 7. River Of Flames

  • I ONLY HOPE THEY PUT EPISODES 3 THRU 7 OUT THERE!!! I haven't seen these episodes since it first came out during NBC's Saturday Morning lineup for the 1975-1976 season.

FYI: This was the show that replaced the animated version of Star Trek for NBC's Saturday Morning schedule.

  • I am so happy you uploaded these cartoons .Thanks so much.

  • thanks for posting this! it's awesome

  • Wicked better than the Live TV Series which I only saw
