  • Its true you come in square for ouchi to prevent weak posture, however this vid is mostly uchimata... If it were ouchi and you come with your leg high, ie toes off the mat, you only open yourself for counter... enjoying the vids regardless, esp. the russian ankle combo

  • Man Great Video!! I been loving my OUchi Gari but sometimes it doesnt go according to plan, so you made my combo list longer, before all i had was OUchi Gari into Lapel Ippon Seoi Nage, because i am right handed. i do OUchi Gari with my Right Leg.

  • That's as may be, but I know I catch a ton of guys entering the way you do with de ashi. Watch Jimmy Pedro's ouchi instruction, or Karo Paryiysian's. Or the Yasuhiro Yamashita.

    Anyway best of luck

  • i might go high with my ouchi but it gives me more of a reaction for my combinations. either way its a beginning of an attacking sequence. thanks for your input.

  • how do you go inside for the o uchi gari when the other guy is so far away.. cuz its very hard for me to pull or stay in this position without losing the grip fight.. the bent back position is very hard to fight against

  • If you enter sideways like that you are going to catch an ashiwaza to your back. Your hips have to be square for Ouchi. You are doing uchimata.

  • Thanks for your input. It gets tricky when movements can have parts of different classifications of throws. I just watched your inoue kosei uchi mata demonstration. He doesnt enter low with his leg. his leg doent really enter through the middle at all.
