I recently left a Northern California COGIC Church. There was a lot of noise about getting saved. A lot of begging for money. A pastor who was/is an alcoholic/ex drug dealer/pimp-player. I now attend a multicultural bible based church that does lots of community work and does not beg for money. Folks wear jeans and sneakers to service.When we die and go to another place. Sunday morning is still the most segregated time in America. My question is approximately how many members of this congregation are white or another race? I attended a large black congregation in San Antonio that was 80% black, and the rest were white or Hispanic. Love crosses all racial barriers. It's sad that more churches cannot be multi-cultural. He never resigned. He went on sabbatical in February until his retirement in June. Otis Moss was brought in a couple years ago to replace him. His retirement has been planned for a long time.
