What I really quesion is why they had this duel when in the manga, Takahashi purposely had them not duel because Jonouchi left everything up to Dark Yugi and Dark Yugi didn't want to reveal his whole strategy to Pegasus.

well it seems complicated but it isnt,it has same rules as newer yugioh only:

-you can summon monsters without tributing (only first season,in battle city tournament tributing was added)

-you cant attack life points directly (thats why the duels last so long)

-you can activate trap cards without seting them (like magic cards)

-there werent any strong monster with attack more than 2500 other than blue eyes white dragon and some ritual monsters

everything else is same,do you get it now? :P

In the game, a defensivemonster is always placed face down, unless a trap card or a magic card prevents that. Or whe nthe monster is attacked, the attack power of the offensive monster is lower than the defending monster, causing damage to the offensive player's life points, and causing the face down monster to become face up.

Yes. There is another tournament after Pegasus, and it actually uses the rules from the actual game, except for the fact that it's 4000 LP, not 8000.

yes in the beginning decks there was no sacrifice or tributes required and a 50 deck was mandetory now its between 40-60 cards in a deck
