@saxplayerale lol.. well that other dude is a friggin' Soul music legend.. And Letterman is just giving Sanborn a hard time aka: bustin his balls. And as far as the the order of hand shakes, well Sanborn's an old friend of Letterman & the band who's made numerous appearances on the show since the 80's.. Almost like an extended member of the house band..
Got to meet David Sanborn and his band in March when he was on a twin bill with Tower of Power. They did this song and the TOP lead singer, Larry Braggs, took the vocals. Really nice.
@towerofpowerfan - I also saw David Sanborn and Tower of Power (on my 60th Birthday - 3/26/09) and they did this one with LB on lead vocals ... were you there at The Keswick Theatre?
Does anyone knows some other great blues with saxophone? I have a little here but mostly are bluesman guitarist/vocalist with saxophone in some songs or bluesman saxophonist with vocal in some songs.
man, i love sam moore. his voice is so damn soulful and unique. i dont know anyone who comes close to this. Like Sanborn on his horn. Two musicians, authentic as hell
why he didnt shake the hands of sanborn? :(

Letterman said "Is that a Staxophone"-a little twist on the Stax/Volt record label which Sam moore belonged to.

Thank you! Sax blues is just perfect! It's kinda sad that blues sax is so hidden by jazz sax (although jazz sax is great too)
