@TheYaom that isnt true, that is a generalisation. Most people i know and know of respect them, i have made friends with 4 Aborigines and i am 'white anglo aussie trash'
This video has been added to the Best Street Music Videos Collection street-music.co. We are trying to find most interesting street music videos. Thank you! Didgeridoo is really cool!
It's funny how Europeans, and other people from the world like aboriginal cultures of australia while white anglo aussie trash does nothing but degrade it and act racist against it.
@TheYaom Now don't say all, but that is true. Thats why im leaving and goin to live in the woods and play music and live free... mothe naturt with society
@TheYaom Damn right :(.. it's a shame!!... one reason may be, anglo aussies still are hardcore christians and don't accept any other style of living...
@TheYaom Thats a bit rich mate, Dangerous to generalise. I am white Anglo Aussie and play the didge and never degrade the aboriginal culture, neither do any of my friends and I live in QUEENSLAND. You make out as if Aussies are racist, and they are not. Shame on you
@TheYaom yeah, that shit goes down on every single country i have been, well maybe with the exception of the US where they have no sense of culture, or even common sense...
@nahnuhhuh because it's against "Dreaming Law" but again this is subject to different tribes, some are more lenient when they see a white women playing but most do not like it and consider it a mockery of their culture, aboriginal women however in some more lenient tribes are allowed to play the instrument "socially" among friends and family, street performances are considered "official performances" so they stay away from it.
@MultiThunder1234 thank you for your answer, could you tell me more about the "Dreaming Law"? I'm a woman, I've recently bought a yidaki and I love playing it (at home so far...mostly alone)...but I really care about people's beliefs...
@nahnuhhuh kind of hard to explain "Dreaming Law", all I can say is that the minute you try and compare it to modern law, it starts to go wrong, it's a way of life so to speak but like I said no one will ever consider it an offence if you play away from aboriginals , the didj as we call it is a spiritual instrument , if done right, it can even heal sickness but this is greatly refuted by modern science and there are many other beliefs about this instrument . Enjoy it !
@MultiThunder1234 I found "It is true that in certain ceremonies the Didgeridoo player was the male. but outside of that ceremony their friends, family, sisters, daughters and wifes and so on could play some mean un-ceremonial Didgeridoo! Up in Arnhem Land a few of the women were incredible players, so powerful, even playing logs before they were shaped! @MultiThunder1234 "These people laughed when they heard that some people were spreading the rumour that women worldwide were not allowed to play the Didgeridoo! They said why would anyone , especially someone not of their group, ever profess to be respecting them by abiding by one mythical law. If they wanted to live by their law, then they needed to go live in with those people, be adopted into the family and live the whole law. Makes sense doesn't it!" not my words, I just found it.
There is a world of difference between people acting as paedophiles and those who act as hippies.
If we can respect every person (while perhaps condemning their actions - if that is appropriate) then we make the world a better place. That way you'll be treated with respect - even if someone doesn't approve of things you do.
Schönes Spiel was ihr beiden da zeigt.
A world of ugliness and intolerance - you really want this? Where you don't respect others for what they are? I sincerely hope that you respect yourself.
@alan111best Why would I have to respect people for what they are? What a naïve statement. Don't tell me to respect paedophiles for being paedophiles, because that's what you tell me to. These people make the world ugly and I certainly tolerate them, but that doesn't mean that I have to like them, and I hope you understand the difference.
