@hass7860: Yes, it's called rooting. But you can still do way more on the galaxy s2 as well as all other android devices than you can on the iphone even when not rooted.

I can confirm, that if you leave the back cover off of the phone, this case fits with the official Samsung 2000mah battery. BTW, I love this case, but it collects dust like a mutherfocker.

The tough case is awful. Bought it off the back of this review. Once installed it affects the microphone badly. People canf hear you on calls.

I'm absolutely torn between the Tough case and the Pop case...

I like the protection of the Tough case, but I dont really like the texture and look of it, I also like that its not as thick as the Pop case.

I love the kickstand on the Pop case, as well as the glossy plastic and rubber sides, but I don't like the thickness of it...

I just got one of this plus the automobile,kit from samsung ,the issue here is now i have to remove the case so i can use it in my car as gps,also i can not find a nice big leather case that i can clip the Smmy on my waist,with this case is too thick and big.so before you get this case think about that ,how much are you going to use it in your car as i do for news,videos,clips, and gps.i also had a blackberry with a case like this and dirt gets behind the plastic cover and the back of the phone.

@justabrake Why would you need a screen protector. The screen is already protected by Gorilla Glass, so its already protected from scratches and stuff like that.

Hi Sam, I'm torn between getting the Tough version and the Barely There. My main concern is the bulkiness of the Tough version, while I'm also concerned at the lack of protection around the corners in the Barely There. What's your take on it? Are you finding this version very bulky?

@TheGooseMagoo I own this case now, and as Sam mentions, the phone's so thin in the first place that it really doesn't add 'negative' bulk to it. If anything, I reckon it's made it feel better in the hand. If you're worried about dropping the phone, that's what the Tough Case is for, the Barely There type doesn't protect the volume rocker and power button from dust/grit either. You have to make you're own educated decision, one things for sure, this is a good case (:

although the ABS provides good protection, it it takes a hard fall it susceptible cracking just like any other typical PVC materials

i'm wondering what's the memory like for sms messages? do you have to delete messages often?

reason i'm asking is that i've found in the past with samsung phones you have to regularly delete messages...say when your inbox has around 200 messages (even though memory status showed you can store at least 500) i sorely missed my nokia where i had around 2000 messages once and it never asked me to delete anything.

@tearfulheart You can choose your limit on text messages per person you text with, the default is at 200 but you can increase that :), the more storage you have free the more texts you can have :)
