ST Generations and ST The Final Frontier should have been stopped at the script stage. Roddenberry was very concerned about the script for Final Frontier and understanably so. The whole movie was a vanity project for Shatner and it is a poor film on every level, except some of the acting.
No he didn't. He was concerned with the film's idea of searching for God, but viewing the theatical release of 5 he saw that it just makes sence. Roddenberry hated the scriped for 6 due to the crew being prejudice towards the Klingons. He might have had problemes with 2,3, and 4, but it's not like he had a lot of control over... any of them after TMP! TMP is another underrated trek film. It's also another God seeker! I think I made my point.

It's a shame that Paramount dosen't! 4 sucked and it's because of 4 that 5 was altered drasticly. Even with all of its flaws ST5 is a great movie, if it wasn't for Paramount trying to duplicate 4, the film could have been a lot better! Fuck ST4 the whole film was a fucking joke.
wut?! ... 5 is the Best?!? ... that's crazy talk! ... the marshmellons, the Uhura dance, the thing wit the shuttlecraft crash, and GOD? wut wuz dat?? ... 5 didn't get altered becuz of 4 ... the original plan wuz that 5 wuz gonna be like the NEW 2009 Trek film and be about them fresh outta the academy but the original cast wanted to do it again and Shatner wanted to direct so thay let em... let em make a piece uh crap!!
Star trek V was a great movie! right from the opening theme provided by Jerry Goldsmith.
