  • I stopped watching this because of 240p I appreciate the upload though.

  • can you take a rental car up there? I am visiting the big island in a couple of weeks.

  • its an awesome place and this is the first time "awesome" can is really what I mean.

the silence, the silence. go there and turn everything off and hear the silence.

  • This is such a spiritual journey for me.

  • gosh that looks amazing. one day.

  • dont bring a tripod when you're usiing this kind of song. it just adds to the effect. it makes it seem less planned out. people never do this any more. people need things to be pristine and perfect. but dont. let it be.

  • great video great musik great emotions

  • hey great work with your video. i did that drive back in 92 with my best friend and his mom. she had been fighting cancer for over a year and was losing quickly. when we did that drive it was clear out there and you could see forever. that was the last time i was up there and she passed away a few months earlier. thank you for sharring this with the world. did you live out there and where.

  • I will go this summer!!!!!

    Thanks for the preview

  • Ive watched this video so many times my brother, the visuals along with both of these stunningly beautiful bands is just amazing :]

  • whoever that idot was who skipped Mauna Kea and said Volcano National Park was more exciting has no idea what they are talking about. Mauna Kea is a humbling experience like no other. The stars were amazing.

  • SADDLE ROAD!

  • sadly its (pretty much) the only place to experience snow in da Big Island

  • thts good not sad

  • is mauna kea that exciting to tourist???

  • its definately one of the places i'm gonna visit before I die.

  • idk I live here fer 13 years and i never drove up there

  • I went to the big island and we skipped it, Volcanoes national park is much more exciting. There are bigger mountains in the continental US

  • not really because from its base(ocean floor) mouna kea is the tallest mountain in the world(from sea floor) so are the other volcanoes on the big island

  • rock on mogwai and sigur ros... doen't get much better, saw explosions in the sky a few weeks ago, they melted my face off with awesome walls of sound.

  • This video brings back some good memories and makes me homesick!

  • Two years ago, I left a message on this video. I want to leave another one saying I walked that mountain against every rangers and officials advice and concerns. I once again saw my mother. Thank you from the bottom of my soul.

  • This is simply amazing....

Me and my friend wanna make a trip you've now shown me that i need to go

  • I've been up Mauna Kea twice now.

Thanks for taking me up a third time!

  • bel video davvero!!!

abbinamento visivo e sononoro sono perfetti!!

    peace, love & hugs!!

  • i went there today...it was 26 deg. and 22 deg. wind chill...SOOOO COLD!

  • From top to bottem of the sea,

Mauna Kea is the largest/tallest mountain on Earth.

  • I think thatʻs where people get confused because youʻre right that itʻs the tallest, but people mistake the "highest" for being the tallest. if a 6ʻ6" tall person is sitting next to a 5ʻ0" person, the 6ʻ6" person is still taller, just not higher...

  • Great video of Mauna Kea! I love the Big Island. I went to Haleakala National Park last year and hopefully i can visit this one :)

  • Amazing stuff, the music and film go very well together. I've never had an interest in visiting Hawaii till now.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Thanks for all the appreciation folks. I've got a lot more stuff from Hawaii recorded, but I'm waiting on a new computer before I edit it all. The one I've got now is hella slow and Windows Movie maker crashes a lot :(

    Anyway, stay tuned for more!

  • Amazing Video

  • It was my Mothers birthday today. She died nine years ago. I swear I just saw her again in your video. Thank Zen Archer for making it me come to look here but I thank you for giving me this.

  • My pleasure :)

  • I didn't know such heights were accessible by car.. at least not in Hawaii :>

    Amazing view!

  • spectacular. I had heard about these telescopes, but this gives me a better view of them.

  • It's cold up there isn't it.

  • Great video! I love the Big Island. I get over there as much as I can. Bought a Ukulele from Melekai Music about 3 years ago and have been playing it often. Fell in love with Hawaiin music. Like to catch John Keawe when I am there.
