This is what happens to a nation, that doesn't have the power base of say China/USA, who has a foreign policy that routinely violates human rights. Until Canadians understand just how badly we've treated other nations, I'm afraid we'll never move ahead and the blame game shall continue. Harper, as of right now, lost us 50 years of diplomatic progress. This is our darkest hour as a nation, and our string of reliable/moral allies throughout the world is running thin. We will find ourselves alone.

This was a test of the UN and it has failed.Its quite clear that the council seats are determined who has the highest population for votes not principled stands against genocide ,discrimination , or human rights.Did portugal sacrifice their troops in Afghanistan?How about China?Russia?No they did not.Spare me the pro-Israel comments.One hundred million arabs surround this tiny jewish state.We are leaving Afghanistan in 2011.I call for the disbanding of the UN.
