  • Thanks for your comment, skinkus. You’re right, hormones do have a very significant effect on nervous system function.

Hormones are produced by specialised endocrine glands, which are under the control of the nervous system. These glands respond to neural signals to produce hormones which influence every aspect of our physiology … including haematopoesis.

  • @DrTonyCroke its just chicken or the egg stuff. Really good for getting patients to come back when they aren't subluxated and are in perfectly good health.

  • @skinkusmetalicus: Every endocrine response begins with a sensory neural signal. Not sure how that relates to chickens and eggs.

  • the brain doesn't send messages to every cell and not every hormone produced is under the control of the nervous system. You might want to review your endocrinology and neurology. A red blood cell isn't enervated. Not every tissue is enervated either. Blood is a tissue. Actually some hormones have a strong influence over the nervous system. It is ridiculous to talk of one system in the body being more important than any other.

  • Great job, Dr Tony. Rough editing or not, it still conveys a powerful message for everyone.
